This is great. We've gone from building forest camps as kids from wood and old tarps, to buying and using expensive camping and bushcraft equipment, back to wood and old tarps again. It's like fashion, constantly recycling. And this isn't a criticism. It's a great video as ever.

Grunt Proof did a review for the Bushmen Thermo Tarp. They have a 3m x 3m camo model that might interest you. Downside is they are made in Poland, so getting them might be hard and they are comparatively more expensive than the ruggedized emergency blankets.

Outstanding AF duct tape is so versatile and allows you to do so many things, a million and two uses. We have to think out of the box when it comes to our preps, there's always more than one use for any item. I appreciate you Corporal for showing just how you can use these things in more than one way.

I just got home from a week in the mountains. It was a great time even though it was wet and cold. I had trouble keeping the campfire going with wet wood, but enjoyed it anyway. Some of my friends thought I was crazy going camping alone at the age of 78, but I made it just fine.

Whoa there corporal, take it easy on the greens in that salad. After all, it's BACON salad. I still haven't really tried to start a fire with a bow yet, but I'm picking up tips Everytime I watch you do it. If I wasn't such a slug I would look up the skill video that you no doubt have on your channel. Keep it up. BTW, I hear haters tears make great coffee. I think Rush put your final thought very succinctly with their line in the song Losing It. "Some of us are born to move, and live our fantasies. But most of us just dream about the things we'd like to be."

Great shelter! I've been wondering about the cold handle skillets, so I went to a local antique store looking for oil lamps and found one (skillet) hanging on the wall. It's a "Pat_ACME Nov 76" 6" that I guess the seller thought was 1976 because I bought it for $14. It's actually 1876 and still looks great. There were a few more that I found and one larger in different booths, so I might have to go back and get them. As far as types of people, I was a 2 for about 25-30 years (first wife wasn't any help) and switched to a 3 about 25 years ago (current wife 21 years grounded me in a good way). My goal is within reach, just need to ride out 3 more years for my military (30 years) and Guard technician (20 year) retirement.

Hey Cpl, I love your content. I am a pro Chef. Steel pans. The best method I was taught was to heat fat only until smoke starts. OK Bacon salad is going on my bar menu. jb

Second, I believe that this is the first time I have seen you use a tarp for a floor. I like it. Looking forward to next week sir.
