Once again sir you made me feel like I was right there with you.. I absolutely enjoy seeing you do your thing.. an I'm not sure if you were reading my mind .I have been thinking about starting a channel but I said the same thing this morning to my better half that everything has already been done.. I'm just not sure if it would be worth it at this point. I wouldn't be able to put in the woods teaching like you being I'm now in a wheelchair but I could explain things I guess

To be fair it's in the main cities that the world is ending and unless you're in Cali, where everything burns/is burnt down yearly, quiet suburbs, rural areas and the wilderness are pretty chill.

I appreciate everything you said in this video. And you are definitely correct about people now or 15 years ago didn't invent this bushcraft. To me it is a recent fad people jumped on. This stuff has been done for couple centuries for people to live and survive. Was just a way of life for families to get by in life in a rural setting. Everything I've learned about being a true woodsman, which is wgat people called it before, not bushcraft. I was taught by my grandparents, my dad and my uncles , that grew up in the mountains in se Kentucky and West Virginia. I'm almost 60 yrs old now and learned so much from them. But I love your videos and dedication to teach people that probably were not as fortunate as me to have good woodsman teach me and hand me down their outdoor skills. Thank you Corporal.

Correct. I’m 53, grew up in the middle of nowhere, kind of poor, (never really knew it), and we just called this camping. Or building a fort. Or hunting season. I still learn a ton from the Corporal on most every video. Mainly how bad I am at knots. 😂

What made me a viewer is pure and honest. Your builds, attitude, positive mind set, and your channel isn’t based on gear and money but skill with less and affordable items. Do I wish your videos longer yes but do I understand the changes heck yes. But, that’s not going to change a damn thing from me as a viewer. I’m still going to watch! 🍻

Truth^^ skills, not frills. Dude needs like 3 knots and a piece of tarp and he can make you a freaking man cave in a couple hours, then whip up a meal that you can smell through a computer screen. That's as real as it gets. (Plus, love the little dude - makes me conscious as a dad to try getting my own little one outside as soon as she's able).

I believe what you are showing here with your survival videos, will make a difference to people's life. There is a whole lot of spooky stuff happening right now in the world. 5 years ago, this would just be conspiracy theories or even just another Rambo. However, if ever there was a time to prep, I think now is the time to do it. And people out there don't have these skills, they need to learn from someone. Being a camper is one thing, many think they have it down, could go bug out just fine. I thought like that too when in the gulf War, well its not at all like comfy glamping. With artillery over your head you hunker down on your face, you are terrified, scared to a point you can't move. No one knows this feeling of complete helplessness. You can be the biggest, toughest, strongest, most disciplined, but that's not what takes. It's emotional and you have to have endurance, size doesn't matter....how you look, what your fashion is, what your beliefs are... none of that will matter. What matters is knowing what to do to obtain palatable water, food and shelter from the elements...and how to defend off threats like wild animals. It's something instinctual , like when faced with these situations...a flash memory of us as more primitives in earlier past lives. We come from humans who survived the most harsh of conditions and only some of us can tap into that memory of our ancestors, we need to reach out and educate people today about how to survive out there with nothing. I think you corporal are doing a outstanding job of helping people learn the ways of the wild woods. I give you a huge Semper Fi! I'm Army Rangers, did about the same training as Marines. Keep up your great work Soldier, If you helped even one person.... you did your job in the eyes of the universe.

Shawn mate , David here from Perth Western Australia, no matter what you do that has been done you are still different and you are still grown breaking you could say and you could go so far to say you have something not many others do, and thats enthusiasm and vision, partly because of your training and partly because of your fun and great way of looking at things . you make what you do look fun and simple (not easy) you show what needs to be shown and not bogged down in the small or repetitive stuff you show how just by opening your mind to what is infront of you , you can create something worth while and you show and prove not everything goes to plan and thats not a bad thing you dont get pissed about you see it as a new and exciting challenge and create something sometime better then you hoped but sometimes not as good as you hoped but still doable . you never let us down and i know for myself you have helped keep me sane (what little sanity i have left) and even though im ex ADF you have shown me things i didnt even think of so you have opened my mind . and isnt that what its all about and the rest is up to us if we enjoy your lessons to then go out and try it ourselves and see what we come up with and have fun. ive watched others but none are us excited or enthusiastic as you and none that i have watched have your skills and real life skills i might add or there just far too serious . your a legend keep up the good work my good friend

When I got to Vietnam I was issued a 2 quart soft canteen. I used it as a pillow by drinking a little over half the water and deflating it a bit so it was soft. I used it during my Army Reserve service later on for many years and gave it to my son in law who did 2 tours in Iraq with the Michigan National Guard. Other than my rifle it was my favorite piece of gear. You can still buy them on eBay.

SEAN; I've cooked fish that way but, I was just reading Horace Kephart, about cooking with flat stones. He builds the fire on 2 flat stones stacked, but separated by very small pebbles. When they're hot, he puts the steak in between them for quicker cooking, like a Foreman grill...

Another good one. Another thing that makes a good “griddle” in a fire is the plate that goes under a railroad track that the spikes go through to hold the track down to the ties. I had to use one once years ago when some friends of mine and I went camping with very little gear. In the morning everyone was hungry, and we weren’t sure what we could do. At least we had our fishing poles. Caught and filleted a couple trout, and fried them up on that “griddle” after we scrubbed it off with river bank sand and had it laying in the rekindled fire. We had been camping near an abandoned railroad track. There was a loose section that we got the mount plate from. It worked out pretty well.

I first came across him maybe a year and a half ago or something, it was a "digging your own fighting hole" video I believe. I saw he's a great teacher, explains things well and pays attention to detail and doesn't half ass things. Pretty sure he had a lot less subscribers then. It's been great to see him get bigger, very well deserved!

I hope you receive as much joy and contentment as you provide others!!💖 Look forward to every Sunday for something new from you. Am excited to see what your "big plan" is going to be -- hope you build a permanent shelter.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE TO OUR COUNTRY. I LEARN A LOT FROM YOUR VIDEOS. I AM LEAVING FLORIDA IN FEBRUARY TO LIVE AND TRAVEL IN MY VAN. I HAVE MANY OF YOUR RECIPES WRITTEN DOWN IN MY JOURNAL AND NOTES AND SKETCHES OF SHELTERS THAT YOU HAHE BUILT. IN MY TRAVELS I AM GOING TO GO OUT INTO THE WOODS AND BUILD SOME SHELTERS LIKE THE ONES YOU HAVE BUILT. I AM GOING TO LEAVE THEM UP SO WHEN SOMEONE IS OUT IN THAT AREA THEY CAN EXPERIENCE THESE TYPES OF SHELTERS. AT SOME SPOTS. I WILL CONSTRUCT MORE THAN ONE. THANK YOU MUCH. SEMPER FI.

'Be yourself' thats probably the best advise you can give to anyone and everyone. Thank you for sharing and keep the videos coming! Reminds of my days in the army and hope to get my boys to join me on an outdoor camping trip soon.
