Solo Wild Camping In The Lake District | Place Fell

In this one I camped at the top of Place Fell so I could test out a few bits of gear and get some miles under my feet. The winds picked up during the night but the tent handled it no problem.
I'll be doing a lot more hiking as I prepare for the coast to coast next year.

Hazy, great little tent, the Hex Peak. I have one with single and double nest. Works great! You keep saying, "We"! I reckon someone is with you! Either, our mate Noel, the filthy fat Seagal or the expectant Von Doelican! And I reckon it's Joey D, straight from the dropping of the sprog! I'm drinking Fullers Imperial Stout at 10.7% and yes its lovely! At 8 quid a bottle it better be!

First: congrats! A little man! Awesome! And ogh,that morning on top was incredible.. soo.. coast to coast? Are you walking the southern upland way? Well, i walked it in the 90ties and thougt it wasn't a nice a walk.. I even abandoned it halfway and bussed to the lake district for the remainder.. I'm not a quitter but man so much steep and piontless going up and down over boggy ground really got the better of me. But that was long ago. Mayhaps things have improved.. cheers man, you're not doing so bad on your own!!
