In this episode, join Oliver and I as we set out for an overnight backpacking adventure to the mouth of a Lake Superior tributary. My goal was to surf for salmon/trout and enjoy a fresh fish dinner over a campfire. For the end of February, you couldn't have asked for better weather in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Stay tuned for more solo camping adventures with my dog Oliver!

I’m a Michigan native that has lived abroad for the last 6months, I’ve been feeling really homesick recently. I came across this video and it reminded me of the natural beauty of our great state, looking forward to coming home and doing some camping again!

I love salmon…my fav fish to eat and one of my favs to catch. The best tasting saltwater fish is spanish mackerel…fun to catch and tasty.

We used to throw silver and blue cleos and if the wind was ok spinners. Spring Cohoes used to be a sucker (sic) for em. I’m in Fl now but your channel brings back memories. And of course OLIVER!

Shore wind doesn’t blow them offshore. I do just fine on a Lee wind or shore wind. Depends on the day.

Love your videos man. My niece likes to watch them with me. She loves Oliver. Anytime she doesn’t see him get his taste of food she always asks why didn’t he get any. Always have to reassure her that I’m sure he gets a taste.

There are also airbags in the rear seats....and I doubt putting a seat belt on a dog would work very well

your "airbnb" returns lake front on Superior,lol...those Toyota Tacoma's are excellant!, I worked and commuted between Detroit and Chicago, I drove the "Sport" model with the hood scoop,lol...both red and blue (Speedway Blue officially), great video, awesome dog, be safe!
