Great job. I also have a newer Proto 2000 BL2 that I'm painting in the EMD Demonstrator paint scheme and I'll definitely add a sound decoder. You just showed us how easy it is. Thank you.

Very nice. I have a Monon BL2 that I need to convert to DCC and this video is just the thing to show me how to do it. Thanks for sharing.

Without your detailed tutorials I don't know where I'd be on my DCC Conversions. Because of your Master Yoda training I am up to 4 conversations and learn something different every conversion. Especially with Decoder Buddy. My personal goal is to master better wire management for Step Lights, Truck Lights and Cab Lights. But finding that use of those Tiny Sip Connectors do the trick so far. Love your shows.

Good job! You should install dcc in a Proto Lackawanna E8. That would be cool! Take care!

I've got a couple of E8 locomotives. Maybe in the near future. Thanks for watching

I enjoy your video install very much and you are the person that put me onto "Decoder Buddy" , a greaat product! Can you tell me where you obained your test track, or did you make this yourself? Many thanks for great instructive videos! I am a fan.

The stands are from a company called Bachrus. They are out of business. Bachmann has a similar product, called Rolling Road.

@@SoloContracting Thank you for the information. I have seen the attempt by Bachman and it is not close. I also saw one on "Brass Trains" that a modeler had made and it looked very much lke the one that you use and I think I will try to reproduce the for myself. Again. thank you for getting bck to me and thanks for what you do for all of us on your channel.

Could you do a decoder/sound install in a GE 45ton switcher? I have one I am thinking about setting up it already has Dcc but no sound. Thanks

I appreciate your work on these videos. You do the best at explaining your procedure of all the ones that I've watched. I have a couple questions, and a small critique. Where did you source the replacement motor mounts? And what kind of tape did you use to isolate the frame from the motor? Perhaps you could list materials and sources in you description. My critique is to suggest that you watch the edges of your frame as sometimes the object that you are talking about gets either right at the edge or gets out of frame. Maybe a small monitor on your bench that you can glance at to make sure we can see what you're up to? Thank you!

Thanks for watching. The motor mounts I get from Amazon, but they can be purchased at many online dealers, Athearn New Motor Mount Pad (12), ATH84026. Kapton tape is what I use to isolate motors. I am trying to be more aware of the model in the frame. I do use a monitor, but sometimes I get involved with the model and forget that I am filming. Thank you for the feedback.

@@SoloContracting You could also mark a "video safe" area on the bench and then try to stay inside it. I spent 30+ yrs in motion picture visual effects, so I'm hyper aware of what's in frame and what isn't.

Maybe do a bachman e33? Electric for a change of pace.

Neat and sweet!!! Great job! Good thoughts on bulbs with resistors attached and maybe a good case for LEDs on a Decoder Buddy Mini with resistors onboard. Very fine demonstration and thoughts! Thanks!

Would it be possible to put a sound decoder in a conrail mt-6 slug

I searched up "Decoder Buddy Tiny", but it seems it isnt available anymore. Can I use any other Decoder Buddy like the Decoder Buddy Mini? And if so, which do you recommend? I am very new to DCC Conversions. I love your tutorials!

The mini and tiny are the same product. Thanks for watching.

@@SoloContracting Does the "(0.0K)" matter, or can I choose any "(0.0K)"s?
