Definitely, though this series definitely is a bit better at avoiding the repetitive nature of Hexcells; these new mechanics make for new strategies.

when using the drawing tool, i would always mark hypothetical mines with white dots, and non-mines with black dots, since those are their respective solved colors. while that does use up both colors, middle click can still be used as an eraser

I did the same. I also used set colors with connecting lines noting "at least x" "no more than y" etc.

@@xazz I personally love the wide variety of games on this channel, but I think Tyler could've had more views and subs if he stuck with Bloons or Polybridge. The different games are a bit of a hit or miss. Some people might stick around for one game that they like watching, but leave when it's over and Tyler starts playing new games. But it's probably still the right choice for Tyler to switch it up once in a while so he doesn't get burnt out or get tired of a game he's sick of or dislikes.

I do greatly appreciate the efforts to make this a better viewing experience - I usually watch every single one of your videos but found Tametsi too hard to follow until now (you're just too smart for us). The in-depth explanation of 2-1 logic, pencil markings for deep strategy, and the greying out of completed cells is all extremely helpful! Very relaxing videos to watch, and excellent content as always. Hope all is well!
@1vader
@1vader 2 жыл бұрын
You can also use a second color by right-click drawing. I usually put white on right-click and black on left-click and then I can just mark mines as usual since mines are usually white and clicked cells are grey (so kinda like black). Also, in solving mode you can just hold Shift to show the drawings instead of switching back and forth with the mouse which means you can line up the cursor while seeing the drawing. And I guess you can use D to switch between drawing and solving mode but at least I rarely use that since clicking on the symbol works well enough. Also, any reason you didn't turn on "treat gray like any other color"? It makes it so that you have a gray mine counter instead of a total mine counter which is pretty much always what you actually want and saves you some trivial maths.

I'll be honest, very very often i won't understand your advanced train of thought in solving these, BUT that really doesn't really matter to me at all, I simply turn my brain off and keep watching like if you were an older brother and I'm just watching in the couch with no intent of picking up the controller to play too, simply enjoying whatever comes. And do actually enjoy watching you play this game, seems really well made, structured, and straightforward, and you're a beast at it which also makrs it even better to watch, keep it up man, love to see it!
