In the first episode of the new vlog series Some Jerk Visits, Some Jerk With A Camera visits Knott's Berry Farm in Buena Park, CA for the first time since childhood, to scriptlessly explore the park that the boysenberry built!
DISCLAIMER: This video, like every video on this channel, is intended only for mature audiences. While the topic at hand is a form of media commonly associated with small children, the purpose of this video is to present a mixture of analysis and comedy about said media from a distinctly adult perspective, which may possibly include profane language and references to sex, drugs and/or violence. KZfaq, like many websites, collects personal data on its users. The Child Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) has made it illegal to collect personal data on children younger than 13, and rather than fix their own algorithm, KZfaq is essentially threatening to pass the blame onto content creators whose work may seem "attractive" to children. For these reasons, the producers of this video feel compelled to state, in no uncertain terms, that if you allow a child under 13 years old to watch this KZfaq channel, you are a bad parent or guardian.

Tiny was indeed phenomenal, and I also must give props to the sheriff, who played a perfect deadpan straight man to Tony and Tiny's tomfoolery. In fact, all of the Ghost Town Alive cast members are top-notch improvisors. Even Jeremy Carter, co-creator of the Superego podcast, is a regular performer, although he wasn't there the day we shot this. But all the actors are great at rolling with whatever you throw at them, provided it doesn't break the reality of the scripted story. Knott's can get some great talent for this since theme park work is pretty much the most reliable paid improv gig that doesn't require a SAG card.

Fun Fact: Many of the steam locomotives at Knott's Berry Farm are actually real vintage 19th and Early 20th Century locomotives that were purchased from the dying Denver & Rio Grande Western Railroad in Colorado. Today, they are among the last remnants of America's once thriving narrow gauge railroad system. Disney, meanwhile, had most of their locomotive fleet built new by a manufacturer in Scotland.

Neat. Hopefully the quality of the rides at most of them are good enough to make up for the lack of immersive theming. I'd say that the panoramic tower ride thing there was a knockoff of Cedar Point's, but I was never able to find any actual information about the history or even actual name of what to me was their iconic attraction, so I have no way to check which came first. I have to imagine getting a massive panoramic view of the great lakes and the island is probably more impressive than a panoramic view of California, and as far as I'm aware, it doesn't have the dodgy record of people being trapped on it.

I actually worked at this place from 04/08 to 07/09, where I was fired for being accused of breaking lollipops by another employee, when in fact I was checking to see if they were broken due to multiple customer complaints. I was also banned from reapplying to Knott's for 5 years after being fired for this. I will say that it was a really crappy place to work, especially when comparing it to Disneyland, where I worked previously before Disneyland laid me off. Also, the town of Calico is an actual place out in the desert that is an old west ghost town campground. I would go there with family and friends every October for Calico Days, and I even won a few ribbons and stuff from the daily games they held for kids and adults. I'd love to go back again and enter the Burro race they had one the last day of Calico Days.

I worked at Williamsburg lol. Shitty ass job and ruined the whole thing for me, but it's hard too say which is better IMO. I only been to Tampa once like 5 years ago and I went to Williamsburg pretty much my whole life but in the past 5 years I only go for Hallowscream. Tampa is much older and has more rides and animals. Before I left tho the company was losing allot of money, so the little animals we had at Williamsburg are getting reduced. Tampa felt allot bigger, felt like a half assed Animal Kingdom. Most of the rides from the past 10ish years are duplicated in some ways at each ie Griffon is a exact copy of Sheika, Cheetah Run is a lose copy of Verbolten(which is a pretty badass ride I love the free fall part I haven't seen that anywhere else and got me the first time since its all dark) They have been developing more E ticket rides at Williamsburg since they got bought from Budweiser(Inpev didn't want shit to do with the parks sold it to blackstone) Williamsburg had better shows(well used to they all kinda crapped out, the only good one now IMO is the Irish show) also it was much cleaner in Virginia than the one in Florida, and yes Williamsburg is beautiful for all the gardens, flowers and fountains/lake. Atmosphere/Themes/Cleanliness/Beauty Virginia wins that one(also the Christmas town, even tho how forcefully Christian it is and me not being Christian, is pretty beautiful with the lights and themes. I have no idea if they started it at Tampa yet or not) Hallowscream is a millions times better at Tampa than Williamsburg. And rides are better at Tampa even tho it seems Virginia is trying to catch up. For the longest we only had 4 roller coasters, They tore down a couple and now its at 6 I think. They just built a new one this year. Water Country also expanded and updated allot as well. The thing I didn't get before I left was how we raised the prices on all the food/drink maybe tickets and they always bitched abut the budget not being met but built a new ride or renovated restaurants once maybe 2 times a year. lol

Unfortunately I just never had the time, and now I've reached the point where pretty much the only way I can release content regularly is in podcast form.

When you guys found that Sally mug it reminded me of when I found a deadpool pop doll at six flags New England 9:56 I think they had disaffected clerks in the old west too.

As someone from NC, I would recommend Carowinds. The only amusement park (that I know of) that rests on the border of two states, North and South Carolina. It's also home to Fury 325, the tallest and fastest Giga coaster in the world. They also have their own Halloween event, Scarowinds, which includes some mazes, scare zones, and minor retheming of some of their rides. And finally, just in case you didn't get enough Peanuts at Knott's Berry Farm, Carowinds has their own themed section based off of Peanuts. I know it's on the other side of the country, but it's worth it.

If I lived on the west coast, I'd check out Knott's Berry Farm, looks like it has just as much charm as the Disney and Universal theme parks

Neat coda to the story of Walt Disney being at the opening of the Calico Mine Ride- in one of the promotional photos of the opening of the Timber Mountain Log Ride you can see a kid partially climbing up the side of the rockwork to get a better look at the top of it. That kid is Tony Baxter.

Should have tried the paradox defense. Have the sheriff agree to release him for a week as a free man as long as he stays in town for that time. the catch being the prisoner is to be hung by surprise any day of that week. let the prisoner in on the plan before hand, obviously, so he'll know to agree. The paradox is then explained to the sheriff once he agrees to the sale and releases the prisoner, which he might do just to put him immediately back in saying he chooses today for the gag of it. The paradox is "the prisoner can't be hung on the final day of the week (say Friday) because, once the Thursday day is over, he would know it will happen that day so it's not a surprise. Now he can't be hung Thursday because he knows he can't be hung Friday and once Wednesday is over Thursday is the only logical day it could happen..." this continues on for every day. So once he is freed with the agreed stipulation, he is free man period.
