I think I’ve seen it before so I knew how it was going to work out, but in optifine settings you can use “better textures” which rotates some of the ore designs. I don’t know if it works for anything else then ores, though.

3:47 *PRO TIP:* When digging straight down, make sure to bring some ladders with you. That way, you can hold onto the ladder while you're digging down to prevent a tragic death. To protect the area you're digging down from, put a trap door over the opening, and make sure the manhole is inside a house in order to have easier access to the items you need to get/put away. If not, build at least some sort of bedroom on either side of the ladder for the same purpose.
