Silver Grove, KY. Lived there for a decade. One cop who was either on duty or on call. Lol one red light.

I actually lived in a small town in Missouri that had a cop......one cop.......on duty from 9-5 ! If your house got robbed or something you had to go wake him up to get a response (or check the only local watering hole !)

We had a two car, two man, (6a-4:30p) PD. This was the Chief & his brother-in-law who was Sgt. Appr 35 yrs ago a 2nd officer was hired (6p-6a). It would however be another 5 yrs before he & Sarge stopped sharing the one patrol car! The "extra" car was a necessary & justifiable expense tho, due to the addition of the town's 2nd stop light. So true yall. ✔😊

Omg I know Dale. I was with the group that had to call the fire department when the lumber place went up in flames. What happened to the little diner that used to be where the Casey's now is? They had the best corn bread. I guess I haven't been back since the early 90s when I went to school at St. Meinrad. We used to go study late night at Dennys or the 231 truck stop. Good times
