Someone Get This Guy a MAN CARD! 1500HP Stick Shift GTO that he DRIVES from Canada! Not only does Rich drive his stunning 1965 Pontiac GTO from his home in Alberta, Canada, he makes detours along the way to stop and meet up with friends and competitors! With 1600 miles on the clock BEFORE 1320Video’s Rocky Mountain Race Week had even begun, Rich had already proven his dedication to getting some seat time in on this new setup because anyone with 1,000HP+ behind a stick shift transmission can tell you that it’s definitely not a walk in the park! Which is why this video is SO. DANG. AWESOME. Since not only Rich and his GTO are running a high power + t56 6speed combo, but his buddy bill is as well in his twin turbo Ford Fairlane 500! These two BADASSES drove their race cars from Bill’s house in Colorado, and all through drag week and back! Both Bill and Rich not only proved that the stick shift sport is still very much alive and well, but that they are not scared whatsoever to turn a wrench on their cars at any point! Armed with only the parts they brought, their eccentric spirits, and the love of the sport, they both had a BLAST banging gears all over the midwest! These two cars were easily some of the weeks favorites!

One of the best 1320 videos, I actually watch all of it and loved every bit of it!!! 2 buddies with perfect cars doing what they love, that’s the type of stuff we needed to see. Denny Davis GM would have never made it this far with out Pontiac. Pontiac was the only good thing GM had going. Pontiac proves plenty that it was superior GM just keep them down

Everyone's talk'n about these two road warrior buddies and their wonderful show quality, haul'n ASS race week street cars and I 100% agree,, THIS video guys - is AWESOME and ! These two fellows cruis'n the mean streets of America in their vintage, classic muscle cars are IMHO the quintessential definition of what Rocky Mountain Race Week and Drag Week are all about. I'm impressed with the fuel mileage in the 65 GTO. My old 1965 GTO convertible, 389 Tripower, close ratio four speed, with 3.90 rear gears would pull 19 mpg at 55 mph.

Rich needs no Man Card, nobody would ever require him to show one. Even before the turbo that is a pretty high strung car to drive 2500 miles to Bowling Green, Kentucky where I first saw him at Drag Week. 6000 mile round trip! Extra Man points for having a proper Pontiac engine and not some orange lump. I'm a Ford guy and love the Fairlane too.

These are proper builds for sure. TRUE Street cars right there. Half of these guys trailer their cars to Race week and break down just driving to each track. Not saying that they don't make it through the week but seriously these guys drove from Canada and drove from spot to spot with a t56 and got back to Canada. I give 100 and ifininite respect to these men

The Pontiac turbo setup was brand new for this, still some bugs to work out. Chassis and boost control setup it will be as fast or faster than than my Fairlane!

BRINGS BACK MEMORIES!! I had a Black 64 with red interior that I bought in 1969... MAN do I WISH I still had it!! I DID do some drag racing -- Friday night "Run what ya brung" mostly -- and LOTS of street racing... but I was basically Stock 389 3-deuce, with Hedman Headers and some "secret" internal work, so it looked pure stock. I was turning 13 flat on 7" wide bias-ply street tires. {That was as wide as we were allowed back then in stock classes.}

Honestly, its so bad ass watching these classic muscle cars get turbo power and 6 speeds. Honestly, the 60's dont have shit on the modern HP wars. What a time to be alive!

That GTO is sick. Just wish it could have gotten down there in the same times as the fairlane more often. Awesome cars and hope to see even more great upgrades to these amazing machines.
