@@robertsassano4246 -- The vast majority of these petty crimes go UNinvestigated and UNprosecuted -- it's just the way it is. Ultimately, it is the prosecutor who has total discretion over which cases to prosecute and they usually go for the easy wins -- keeps their conviction rate up. :(

I'm willing to bet he purchased it with sugar in the tank and it only became an issue with the larger tires and agitation of the tank. Years ago I bought an 87' Ranger that was sitting in a field. Previous owner told me he parked it because the damn thing was incredibly unreliable. I fixed what I thought was the issue and it ran great most of the time. Occasionally it'd spit and sputter, but for the most part is was all good. After I determined the 2.9l was healthy I started on my axle swap. I replaced the D28/7.5 with a D35/8.8 and went from the tiny 205/75/15 tires to 33's. It quickly became apparent it was lacking power with the new tires and something was wrong. I decided to go play with it down some seasonal roads and after a few miles of trail riding I could hardly keep it moving under its own power in 4low. I drained the exact same mess out of the tank as the Comanche.

I've got front and rear cameras in my 4x4 here🇬🇧. Some things I've noticed. •If it's a determined criminal, the camera won't deter them. •You have to notice the criminal act within the camera memory storage before to overwrites. (Make sure the card is formatted!). •There's no guarantee the police will be able to PID the criminal and or divert resources to the investigation so try social media as well. •Make sure the dashcam night vision is great cos alot of the crime happensin darkness. My old camera needed white light to see or all you could see were shadows moving. Hopefully comment this helps others.

Most dash cams don't record 24/7 and only a few could even detect anything was happening and turn on. A locking gas cap would be much more effective.

idk, possibly but i think it would’ve start running like shit again pretty quickly and there was a decent amount in there and sugar residue around the filler hole

@@r7blue I had a boat tank rusted inside, it was fine until I stirred it up going fast or choppy waters. local small lakes it would run around all day idling, but hit the "speed/ski areas" and about 1/2 way around it was stirred up and plugged the intake mesh screen enough to collapse the primer bulb flat and kill the engine = dead in the water. wait 10 to 15 minutes it would settle and work ok again. had vehicles that way also and serviced a few with sugar/powders(all had pickup socks)

It does ruin a engine once it contaminates the oil (getting past rings…) the last motor I done that had sugar it seized valves in the guides and rings sticking in ring lands

I am more hoping that he bought it like that, and the problems only arose when the tank got sloshed around. I might be being naive, but I can't imagine anyone doing that to him.

Most newer vehicles have screens in the fill neck to prevent fuel theft. I tried my best to get fuel out of my tank in my 2012 Odyssey,before trading it in.

Sugar will not dissolve in fuel. It will plug up the filters, and take a lot to clean it all out.

@@Timberwolf69 gas and fine sugar gets hosed into via intake and drains into oil not saying much will be there but... Good news is sugar is not ethanol/gas solvent so filters should stop it. The fuel pump will probably be damaged...

looks like a 2 lt pop was poured in gas tank! loaded with sugar, easy to pour, takes to long to pour granular sugar!
