Wonderful. The balance here between voice-over and simply wandering in silence is just right (although I certainly wouldn't mind if there was more commentary). The birdsong and natural ambience is calming and reminded me of sitting in my late Mum's garden in England during the first lockdown in 2020. So peaceful. Many thanks, Steve, as always.

There will be more commentary on some videos than others, I just didn't have much to say on this one, as I always find this area calms me down. Glad you liked it, Clive.

Away with the fairies! I really enjoyed this - I think that you have just the right amount of spoken commentary - for somebody like me, stuck in run down South East london - it is a pleasure too watch - thanks

I really enjoy the birdsong and the sound of your footsteps. The sound of the wind and the babbling of water. I prefer just a little bit of voice over with minimal music. This video is just about right!

This channel is fantastic. It makes me feel as though I’ve actually visited this idyllic place though I’d never heard of it before. I think the balance between music, ambient sound and commentary was perfect. I’ll be watching.

I don't mind the live voice with the background sounds.. no music.. I think that will take away from the spontaneity of the walk.. idk.. just some thoughts..

A delightful video, thanks Steve. Chilcombe Bottom is one of those English place names I love, along with Toller Porcorum, Piddletrenthide and Tolpuddle in your neck of the woods, and Land of Nod and Wetwang near where I live now. I'm sorry the bookstore wasn't up to scratch!

Thanks James- I am piling up stuff to sell for my next Hay trip (I sell more than I buy there now, unsurprisingly) but I'm going to drop some titles into that little box to try and spice it up a bit for any reasonably literate inhabitants...

This was a wonderful balance. I love the immersive back to nature feel of your walks, but the synth music always pulls me right out of it. (Obviously I have a LOT less BBC conditioning to endure synth in period pieces.) This was calm and relaxing throughout, and the music never jarring. There's time's I missed having *some* explanation/history of what we were seeing being spoken at me, but having the scopophilic satisfaction outweighed it. And of course, what I like is less important than fulfilling your vision. Glad it wasn't people filled. Great timing!

Feel strangely attracted to these walking videos. Walking is important for thinking. Wonder if you're into Thomas Bernhard. As for the style of these videos, one important aspect is actually the sound of your voice.
