Anyone else remember when Hardee's was offering their "6 dollar burger," which was premised on the idea that $6 is extremely expensive for a fast food burger so therefore it must be extra gourmet and amazing? Man, those were the days.

The man drinks Dr Pepper. Obviously a gentleman of distinction and good upbringing.

For anyone who's curious: Arby's claim is that the beef is 52% American Wagyu and 48% Angus. "American Wagyu" (sometimes called "American-style Kobe") is, itself, from a crossbreed of (most commonly) some strain of Japanese Black cattle and American Angus, which is sometimes colloquially and delightfully nicknamed "Wangus." So it appears the beef is around half plain Angus and half is half Angus and half Wagyu (Wangus). Wangus.

Through his many thousands of videos, I think Reviewbrah is trying to impart a larger lesson to the fast food industry - CONSISTENCY SELLS. He never dips below the standard he set years ago, and often goes above it. Cheers!

When I was a kid in the 60's Arby's was good. Their Arby sauce was tangy and peppery and you had to be careful with the horsey sauce or it would overpower the sandwich to the point you couldn't eat it. Both now hardly have any flavor.

No sane person can dislike this guy. He ACTUALLY reviews the food without just making the entire video about him eating the product with no commentary.

I'm willing to bet it's the parmesan in the sauce that is muting the bite you would expect from the ranch sauce. Sometimes they try to put too many things on an item.

That Drip, that impeccably precise coiffure, that bold yet apprehensive "giving Arby's another shot"... Reviewbrah perks up my day every time I watch. I'll probably never get to try anything that he reviews since I literally live on the other side of the world, but that doesn't matter. I can and do appreciate Brah taking a professional approach to such a vitally important task. You're doing great work here mate, you are an Institution of One at this point. :)

Arby's used to sell 5 for $5 arby sandwiches. Soft tacos at Taco Bell used to be. 59 cents!

I was in Arby's last week and noticed this Wagyu burger. I looked at the Bacon version you reviewed here and the deluxe you mentioned that you liked here as well. I really didn't need the bacon so I opted for the deluxe. Then I got to talking with my housemate who was with me on just what the 'Wagyu' meant. Saw that it was a kind of beef I guess not unlike Black Angus. Well then I said I'm glad I opted out of the bacon because this way I can just taste the beef and see how I like it. Well i liked it just fine. The beef did taste a cut above most fast food burger beef. Tender and flavorful. I agree with you on the deluxe.

Facetiousness belongs to this young gentleman. I love his dry delivery.

I do lots of doordash and picked up from arbys one day; I asked "I dont see a grill, how do you cook the burgers?" "Oh, we throw the patties in the fryer." Deep fried burger. sheesh

For those confused, he is not mispronouncing "wagyu", he is referring to the primary ingredient in the burger (and its downfall)- the mysteriously flavorless ranch peppercorn sauce as "why goo". Its provenance, like its purpose is a mystery, and it is gooey, hence: "why goo".

The problem with Arby's burgers is that they make a mind-numbingly stupid mistake by mixing half Wagyu with half normal ground beef. That would be like buying a fine Scotch and then dumping some flat Pepsi in it. It's not bad, but it is just an absurd way to bring down the overall quality of something that was off to a really good start. Overall I kinda like the burgers, but they need to use a higher quality of ground beef or make the whole thing Wagyu and charge a dollar more.

i don't care about the food...I just enjoy John talking with such articulation. He makes me feel like i wouldn't be able to have a conversation with him. He has such a way with words.

Whenever a food place releases a limited time item ALWAYS ask for extra sauce (even if a cheese sauce.) For whatever reason (lack of familiarity with making it, or a limited amount to use during the limited time) they almost always put a minimal amount of sauce on these items. Whether they put the extra on it or on the side, it's almost always a necessity to ask for the extra sauce.

seeing this channel hone in on what makes it great has been so fun over the years. Love watching. keep it up

I tried one of these just yesterday, be aware, it has some weird sauce on it. Ordered without the sauce, it’d be pretty good.

If you read the fine print it's 51% wagyu and 49% regular hammer

I've noticed the same thing with other fast food burgers when they are supposed to have a special sauce, it tastes like they mix it with water 50-50 so you barely get any flavor. I'd rather have a more concentrated sauce and less of it.

I make semi-hard and hard cheese as a hobby. American is usually a blend of Colby and Jack, shredded with a bit of sodium citrate, melted and remolded. It can be made other ways, but the mentioned is the most tasty, if not the most time consuming: each cheese takes at least 3 months for maturation, then another 3 months as American (Colby and Monterey Jack cheese is native to the USA).

The last time I went to Arby's, it was the worst meal I've had in years. The roast beef sandwich was adequate. Well, that was the best part. The curly fries are a shell of their former selves. I couldn't eat them all, despite being hungry. I also got the mozarella sticks - too chewy, no flavor. Last but definitely least, there was the beef and cheddar sandwich, probably the most disgusting fast food item I've ever eaten. The cheese sauce was cheese sauce; it tasted sweeter than any cheese or sauce should. The red ranch sauce is an abomination - WHO puts this in their body and how are they still alive?

Finding your video is like grappling and gripping a solid island. I love you, my guy, and you make so much more difference than you know.

Arby’s peppercorn ranch is top notch, I am an employee here.. nonetheless, the burger is deep fried to cook, then held on line, then supposed to be microwaved w/ American chz on top. I personally do not microwave the burger to save people the trouble. When it’s microwaved the processed cheese absorbs into the patty losing beef flavor and on top of that becomes rubber. The tomato imo takes away from the over all flavor in general. It’s gonna be hit or miss no way around that, just depends when they were fried , how long they sit, and who and how the line worker crafts it. ( yes, pickle should’ve been in the bottom with the onion, they forgot.)

The Arby's wagyu burger is absolutely my favorite fast food burger. I know it ain't real wagyu, but it's still pretty good.

I don't like fillers, and I consider lettuce, tomatoes and raw onion just fluff. So I order the key ingredients usually with whatever sauce they offer. Maybe I am weird, but I get all the key flavors and no blah afterthought veggies.

I usually hate Arby's also, they gave me food poisoning in the 3rd grade and I've avoided them like the plague ever since... Or at least until they had a mint shake on the menu which I actually really liked, and then this. I don't think I'd ever eat anything else on the menu though, just this burger and some curly fries when it's back next year.

Love this burger, had one yesterday. They have been around in my area two times prior to now and so I'd guess I have eaten a good dozen of them. The last time I bought 6 of them and froze 5 them and thawed/microwaved them later and they were still excellent!
