This is the first time in a while we’ve actually seen Shadow done well. He’s serious but he’s not a total edge lord. We even see his dry sense of humor contrast with Sonic’s witty albeit childish sense of humor. And the Sonadow moments actually feel believable and in character for both Sonic and Shadow as opposed to being just fan service.

They can fit sonadow into shows because the games are mostly serious and have little to no jokes plus they have a lot of time to fit their character or whatever into shows since there’s more screen time between all characters but sonadow is gay and we don’t need that. I feel like as if sonic is turning mha literally just the fanbases ruining the franchise

Sonic feeling so happy to see a familiar face after essentially wiping them out that he just HUGS shadow is too wholesome. I almost expected to see his tail wag 😂 Even shadow got a little less angry for a moment after such genuine affection.

The fact that shadow only gets defensive and fights Sonic again because Sonic shows the concerning signs of getting attached to these alternate versions of his friends 😭 mans is SCARED and trying to make sure sonic doesnt fall off the wrong path so bad. He knows whats good for the world and is afraid sonic will get too attached to want to bring back everything they love. Dude doesnt want to fight sonic on something much more morally complicated & hurt him so he fights him to try and stop sonic before he gets to that point bc he knows sonic has an incredibly good, compassionate heart and could hurt himself emotionally from having to get rid of these vers of his friends

2:31 in this part in particular, i thought that perhaps sonic’s attitude seems almost too desperate, the way he was completely overtaken with what might have been fear when he saw shadow falling away. The way the first person pov shows him reaching out, you can clearly imagine the SA2 scene of shadow falling. the way sonic carries him in his arms securely is another part of that scene that brings it together and really shows that he truly does value shadow, even if only to a platonic extent. to make this short: hah gay

Sonic in Sonic Prime is soo different from other universes. I mean, in the Archie Comics for example, he got angry many times, and in other games he often shows off or acts a little "reserved". But here in Sonic Prime, he is acts like as if he likes EVERY SINGLE ONE. And Sonic in Sonic Prime is also is kinda a "flatterer" if you understand what I mean.

I was actually saying this. Like canon shadow or any other version of shadow could never. Archie shadow was cool but he barely associated with sonic. Game(canon)shadow only associates with him when needed but won't ever be there for him emotionally. Boom shadow hates the fact that sonic even exists. Prime really went out of their way to make shadow smile at sonic, not even get angry, patient and become angry and protective when sonic is even in the slightest danger. The bridal carries and Sonic literally says 'I heart you too shadow' while doing a heart sign with his hand. Game shadow or any other version of shadow would and could never. Prime literally cooked so sonadow fans could eat

yeah, that is called✨shipping✨. It doesnt need to be canon for a ship to be popular and enjoyable in the fandom. It doesnt even need to be hinted in the canon material. Clearly in canon, Sonic and Shadow are rivals. They care for each other to an extent, but are also reluctant to show it cause they are not quite friends either. They are frenemies. That doesnt really matter to Sonadow shippers. We just enjoy the possibilities beyond the canon, and reinterpret the canon situations as we see fit to keep enjoying the ship. and the best of all is that none of the haters can do ANYTHING to stop us from shipping it💖 isnt it great? i love looking at people seethe over such stupid things lol. It makes me feel so superior to them. I wish they will never stop crying and complaining. Its so amusing🤭
