I was wandering through a large bookstore which had this CD on its Kiosk. I put the headphones on and was catapulted to another space and time. After some time my wife came up to me and tugged on my sleeve and said, "Are you aware that you are standing here in public, with tears streaming down your face?" No! I was appalled! I was embarrassed! I was in love! Never have I heard such beautiful music in my entire life! And it remains to be the single most piece of music which brings me to tears -- every time!

Nostalgia but to an unknown place this is why i think it's called song from a secret garden. It's way beyond anything any composer has ever written it feels like a breath of fresh air yet stings the heart like poison and despair. Beautiful. Wow.

I hadn't heard of Mirusia until my stopping on this video today, so I didn't know what to expect. The very second she started playing my immediate thought was, "I can't believe how good the timbre of that violin is and how well it carries through the hall," and then, of course, of her as-close-to-perfect-as-possible performance. Great arrangement and performance! Piano stands out, too.
