Ian Noe one of the best ever ! Proud to be a Kentuckian and him Kentucky has a haze and a struggle we still live in America which no longer exists

My new favorite artist. I love his writing style and poignant delivery. One voice. One guitar. Total package delivered. More voices and/or instruments would pollute the rawness. Love, love, LOVE IT!

Thats some song writing right there folks. He's singing about a lot of stuff people just look over. This paints a picture. Another one that I like is "River Fool" Great Stuff.

I agree - this is as good as it gets. Ian Noe nails it - completely occupies the song ; vivid, beautiful writing, compelling melodies. He is just the best and deserves much, much wider recognition.

The lyrics, the story, his voice, his picking! Incredible! I grew up in the Appalachians. I can see it, I feel it, I can even smell the creek. A complete immersion experience. Wow!

Awesome stuff, you’re right about the quality of this album. I think Letter to Madeline remains my favorite Noe song, but there’s some great tunes and lyrics on this record.

I freaking love Ian but I can’t find the video you are playing. He had a few from that session but I don’t see this one. Was it taken down? BTW I am totally on board with what you said about this song.
