I did also. I know I beat rouge and shadow 2 like that. This was probably my favorite game as a teenager. My best friend even got all 180 emblems. Now that was a real challenge. I didn't have the skill to pull it off, but it was awesome watching my friend do it.

I got all the 180 emblems too. This is one of my 5 favourite games of all time, I spent hours, hours, hundred if not at least 1 thousand hours not only playing the game itself but also in the Chao Garden. And yes, it was a real challenge, at least to me it was. I remember perfectly the day I finally got the last emblem, two friends of mine were in my house watching and when I saw that "A Rank"... that was pure magic. Amazing game.

FlaskFlash I know right? I LOVED this game. I spend tons of time in the various chao gardens as well. I remember trying to breeding invisible chao, translucent chao, and even trying to breed chao with perfect stats. That last one was a lot harder, and I never quite got it.

Hahah, I know that feeling! I never got the invisible (not the transparent) Chao, I think you needed one Jewel and those are from the Sonic Advance games from GBA. BUT I got indeed perfect Chaos with all the stats in S, like, a lot. If it wasn't because it's 4:00 AM here I would upload pics directly from the GC (which I need to connect too x'D) Sometimes I think about the possbilities of the Chao Garden in a remake, I mean, just imagine trading with anybody around the world like in Pokémon but with the Chao. Ah...

I honestly enjoyed playing them multiple times and exploring them thoroughly as a kid, but I also have a really happy memory of getting an A rank once on the level where Rouge is looking for the chaos emeralds. I had found the first 2 kinda quickly and had a decent score, and then I accidentally flew right into the third emerald that was floating above one of the fans, meaning that I finished way quicker than I ever had and got my first A rank as a little boy lmao.

@@revenevan11 Actually because of the time limit on Security Hall, beating the level without dying basically always gives an A rank. It's one of the free A ranks in the game, there's an Eggman level near the end that also has this quirk because of the sheer amount of enemies it gives you.

Using hints and memorizing the level design is fun, it's actually easier than sonic because it has no shitty one button syndrome

I specifically remember 1 of the knuckles stages taking forever the first time. The ungodly amount of time they spend memorizing every pattern, and optimizing the run is nowhere near worth it for 99% of the population 😂.

Rock Golem the only reason why this game gets any sort of recognition is because of City escape which I might add is a good level but tails robotnik and knuckles and rouge and 50% of sonic and shadows are just terrible like I Said Unleashed is better

Eh the score you get matters too, that's why ya get higher ranks from tricks and enemy kills. It rewards speed, tricks, enemy kills and generally being stylish and fast rather than just fast. Basically what Sonic is all about at heart
