Back with another Hard Mode! Mission 5 of every stage in Sonic Adventure 2 features a tougher varient of the stage with more enemies, hazards, and muscle memory-breakers. Here is my stab at the hero story side of things.
When I play Sonic games, I usually play heavily modded versions to have a better expereince, you can see what mods I'm playing with via this amazing spreadsheet made by Pariah695!:

The Treasure Hunting ones end up being easier because the Emerald pieces are always in the same spots in Hard Mode.

Personally i find the hard mode stages aren’t actually harder they just mess with your muscle memory.

At least they change up the levels in a fresh new way, can't say that about the act 1-2 dlc levels of unleashed (excluding apotos and adabat)

They are definitely harder though. Even if you haven’t played mission 1, there are more enemies, obstacles etc to deal with. Whether you’re going for A ranks or fastest times or just want to get to the end without dying too much, it’s gonna be harder

0:58 oh yeah, i might be part of the reason why there's a mod that adds the "welcome" on the grass in city escape btw i asked on gamebanana why nobody had added it yet, and a couple weeks later, shaddatic's enhanced city escape mod got updated after a little over a year, and one of the things added was the welcome signs of course, it's entirely possible that they were already working on adding that to the mod before i posted the question, but the timing is pretty convenient
