I honestly lost hope for Sonic games after Generations. I'm going to wait for Sonic Force play throughs to hit the internet before I even consider glancing at the thing.

Don't glance at it then because Sonic Forces has probably one of the worst stories in the entirety of the franchise. Dissapointed, but not surprised.

The series needs new writers. Their style worked with Colors, but every game after, it just fell flat. Also, as cool as Infinite is, he doesn't have nearly the amount of depth that Merlina has.

I agree. Forces was just pretty flat and not to much in depth for story. Also too much talking while playing the game and the levels were far too short. Also way too much synth. I enjoy violins in my games

Eh, I don’t know...this is a bit much. A lot of this and some other things from the “Modern Sonic” era just felt excessively permeated with generic anime/lovecraftian elements. Like whatever the heck I’m looking at here in this final battle seems like something that belongs more in the Final Fantasy series or even the Kirby series. The Sonic franchise and its primary characters were established on simple nature vs. machine themes with robot armies attacking the forces nature, not necessarily edgy fantasy-heavy elements like we see in ‘06, Seven Rings, and Black Knight. For me they struck the balance great with the Adventure games and Heroes...not *too* edgy and over-the-top (lookin’ at you, Shadow the Hedgehog), but taking itself just serious enough to establish a relatively mature story and world-building while somewhat maintaining the light-hearted spirit of the “Classic Sonic” era that gave rise to the character in the first place; honoring the roots of the series. The lovecraftian cosmic horrors like the ones featured in Shadow, ‘06, and the storybook games really distract from that, making it seem less like a Sonic game and more like a wannabe Final Fantasy game.

@@kinggordoproductions6203 well the whole Nature vs Technology is still there. Even then it was thrown out the window once Super Sonic was introduced and added more depth and world building to the series and im glad it did. Plus it doesnt seem out of place or character for Sonic to have such whacky or over the top adventures as thats part of his character to keep on moving, seeking something new. Sonics identity continued to grow as the series went on. He was never going to be one-note the entire series.

If he fights Eggman then make it cool (sonic Unleashed). If his villian is very anime then make it cool (The dark queen). Ill take this over what we have been getting all day no questions asked. Sonic taking on a different enemy every now and then has been praised for a reason and a breath a fresh air.

Pedro Sacramento what most people don't know is that Excalibur wasn't Arthur's only weapon, he was rumored to also have a spear and a dagger if I remember it correctly. (And the spear had a very complicated name that I prefer to short up to "Ron")

She would be a graceful and delightful queen, but most of all a cold and mighty ruler. In the end, she would have no choice but to please the goddess to destroy the universe to begin anew to stop the foolish behavior of humanity. The sonic franchise and games will come to an end some day but as far as we know, he's still going because he's still running. Some day he will have to retire and stop running and his whole story will finally come to an end. Unless there is a reboot

Not only the music is dope as f. It also brings a relation between his own theme and his characterization in this game, he doesn't stick to good or evil, in his sight, he will do his thing, he will protect his ideology, heck, even his own identity is at risk this time, because he sees how a perfect and stable world can bring more harm than good for them, here he knows that chaos is needed for a world to keep changing, nothing has or should be perfect, because anything perfect creates stagnation, because "if everything is already done, then why should I do something?" Of course the perfection can and will always be seen as something good and what we "should" strive for our lives, but a perfect world will always boil down to a never ending stalemate, making life something completely dull, since in a perfect environment you will always know what waits for you, and here in this game, this is something Sonic absolutely despises, because it invalidates the meaning of life and his identity in his vision, and the lyrics of the music reflects this side of him, he will do what he thinks is right in the situation, and here shows that his moral wasn't only restricted to: "It is bad, and I'm good, so I will be good and do something to stop the badness!" And more like: "It may sound good on paper, and might be good, but it is something that will eventually destroy the individuality of the others, and since anyone will not stand up against it, then I will have to do so"

It Doesn't Matter is Sonic main theme, Live And Learn is not Sonic main theme, but a boss theme.

I feel like It's Doesn't Matter is underrated because SA1 is underrated and his OST are underrated too expect for the big hit that is Open Your Heart and the meme that became Unknown From Me. When SA2 is not overrated, but it's much more popular than SA1 probably because of Shadow, but if we comparing game to game, not sure that SA2 is a better game than SA1.

Because the swords the only way to harm them…that super form just gives him certain abilities, but it’s not the same kind of abilities a chaos emerald would give…it gives him insane armor and protection and the strongest weapon in the game, which must be used to win

Look, as cool as some of these moments are, this overall isn't a good game. love sonic as much as the next guy, but this game does deserve it's bashing.
