Man I miss this voice actor

Sonic is so freaking durable. This man kept getting up from dozens of hits from the dark queen, when Calibur was destroyed in one hit. This hedgehog sure can take a lot of damage

Despite the reviews and the critics panning this game hard i honestly liked Merlina's character. She had a rather surprising role in all of this. She was distraught that her grandfather's legacy was to create the perfect Kingdom but it fell to ruin. She feels that this is a mark of shame on her family name and wants to correct it by proving her grandfather could have been right. This was a character dynamic I honestly wish Sonic would do more often in his series. A more mature theme with an interesting story. Sadly however America will always want Sonic to be "Kid Friendly" While in japan he curses like a sailor.

I miss Jason Griffith as the voice of Sonic so damn much, he peaked in this game and I love him here, I’m so upset this was his last performance, at least it ended in a bang, as for the game itself? I love everything about it but the gameplay, gameplay is just okay to me. Check out the soundtrack, headass people SLEEP on this games soundtrack

King Arthur dies by his son, Mordred. Merlina's grandfather uses the scabbard's cursed power to create the illusion of King Arthur, a corrupted king who spreads the underworld's influence. Sonic defeats the illusion and Merlina takes the scabbard so she can also spread the underworld's influence. She does it so that the famous round table can last forever. Everyone will be part of the underworld under her direction instead of her grandfather's direction. I guess no one dies and Mordred never kills his father. Merlina brings life back into a wilted rose. Sonic gets a flashback of the rose dying. He doesn't want the rose to un-wilt. The wilt symbolizes death but it also symbolizes life. If I understand it correctly, Sonic believes that life is valuable because of death. He wants to live life to the fullest as long as he is alive. When he dies, his life is more valuable. If he doesn't die, his life is stale.

This was the best cutscene in Black Knight, especially the first part

Man, this has to be one of the more brutal beat downs in Sonic history.

Coming back to this game as an adult, omg how took me so long to realize the message of this game and to think this one would be unconsciously a show of what ended up being my life philosophy I can't give enough credit

In a series where you play as a chilli-dog eating speedy blue hedgehog fighting tyrannical rulers to Vile monsters who want to conquer or destroy worlds. This is not a refresher but it's also very philosophically intriguing. A Big Bad with actually good Motives but not-so-good methods talking about a rather raunchy concept in such broad detail we may not agree with but certainly understand.

This game honestly is better than I remember, it's got a few flaws but they aren't fatal, this game ended the dark age, a lot of people say colors did, but really, this game did or maybe unleashed did. It's hard to tell, but either way, this game is good, better than secret rings and honestly a remake of this game on modern systems would make me happy, along with secret rings and who knows, I doubt they would, but bring jason back as sonic for the remasters, plus fix the issues with both these games and well, make a third story book game about, hmmmm. Maybe something like, greek mythology or a western, I think that would make a great game, but who knows what would happen. This game, I grew up with it and would love to see some love put into it

I still don't get how she was "evil" here. So Merlina knows that her kingdom no longer exists in the future and wishes to change it so her kingdom will live on. That doesn't sound any different from Silver living in a destroyed city and wishing to change the future so it's no longer the case. Can someone explain this?

I'm sorry, but am I the only one who got some Ico flashbacks during this brief exchange here? A dark queen, at her throne, guarded by a magical force field. Your protagonist, who crosses the throne room and attacks with a sword, but is constantly thrown away by the force field. This was too reminiscent of Ico's last stand against the Dark Queen (not this one) to me!
