This video shows gameplay with all characters in Sonic Mania Plus for Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox and PC. I played a Zone with each character. The character roster consists of Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Mighty and Ray.

WHAT? yuri stop talking nonsense, all of it is real. Read the comic for god sake. Even tails has a hyper form where he gets the flickies. It's clearly in the Sonic the comic. So those Hyper knuckles in Sonic 3 and knuckles. They just didn't put in the Super emeralds in the game.

The Sonic comics are a different universe and aren't canon to the main Sonic universe though. Knuckles has a green form in the comics but that never happened in the games and there are a bunch of comic exclusive characters like Scourge the Hedgehog. I read that a S3&K dev stated the super forms for Tails and Knuckles are non-canon and they were only added in to reward players for collecting all of the emeralds.

Yuri on Edge in the classic universe Tails, Knuckles Ray, and Mighty have cannoned Superforms but in the Modern universe it seems to be noncannoned 😐

Fun facts: Knuckles has his hyper appearance from S3&K and tails gets his super form from S3&K as well. There are even some references to hyper sonic! Sonic has the after effect and he has the white glow from hyper sonic or it could be a reference to CD.. The text "Hyper" was found from dataminers. And last but not least, in egg reverie when you fly and do the dash, it's a reference to the hyper flash. Welp adios.

For the ones who ask for Super Metal Sonic... He transforms into Metal Sonic Kai with the power of the Phantom Ruby on his battle at the end of the video. There is a spoiler reference with the Chaos Emeralds in the episode 5 of the Sonic Mania Adventures.

I'm disappointed with Tails super form. I expected him to have flicky birds circling him. Edit: I thought it was Super Tails that had flickies. In Sonic 3 and Knuckles it was called Super Tails. I didn't even know tails had a Hyper Form.

The disappointing thing about Super Tails is the lack of Attack Flickies, and that Super Knuckles doesn't rattle the screen on contact with surfaces after gliding.

The red and black sonic is Mighty the armadillo then the sonic-ish tails is Ray the flying squirrel. Way back the arcade years they were Sonic's companions before Tails and Knuckles, unfortunately they weren't that famous like Tails and Knuckles until they are given their own spotlights in a Sonic game

I am SO GLAD that the Super forms have their own dedicated theme in this game. That's one thing Sonic 2 always had over 3&K, and I always hated that 3&K just used the regular Invincibility theme instead. 😩

Maybe because in the earlier games the flickys were not planned to be part of tails and in later games they thought they could give him those yellow super-ish flickys.

@@Frog_Enjoyer seems legit probably the emeralds have not enough power to make tails strong enough when powering the birds as the super emeralds are the chaos emeralds true form meaning it has more power than usual emeralds powering the birds too as the hyper forms are not cannon but super forms can be

@@SplatRat30L there is no hyper tails in sonic 3 and knuckles, tails just goes super from the super emeralds, the way i see it is: tails got experienced enough with chaos energy to finally go super from the chaos emeralds, but at the cost of not being abled to have the flickies
