@@dusk173the spin dash is so worthless. No, seriously. If you have boost, what’s the point of the spin dash? Plus, the spidash always fks up my momentum in the cyberspace levels. When I’m speedrunning, he just stops mid way. It’s only useful in the hub, that’s it….

@@LilXancheX Have you tried alternating between the spin dash and boost? Like most other Sonic games, the spin dash’s speed isn’t supposed to last forever. It varies depending on the terrain. Meanwhile, the boost is permanent, but the terrain doesn’t affect it; so you aren’t able to use it in as many creative ways as the spin dash, The difference is that boost is an instant speed button, but unlike the spin dash, but the boost is always a reliable burst of speed whenever you feel yourself slowing down mid spin dash. You see, the difference is that with boost, you can’t use it to launch yourself off of inclines whilst carrying your forward momentum. The spin dash solves is the solution for that problem. On flat ground, you won’t find many noticeable differences from the boost, but you certainly will if you experiment with it in and outside of cyberspace. In 2D cyberspace levels, the boost is *very* slow, but the spin dash makes you go as fast as classic Sonic’s broken spin dash in Generations which for me is *immensely* fun to pull off.😄 On top of all that, the spin dash is of course an attack, so unlike the boost in Frontiers, you can use it to blast through enemies like the spin dash & boost were able to accomplish in previous games. The initial speed of the spin dash is also significantly higher than that of the boost. So I wouldn’t exactly call it a worthless addition. To most Sonic fans, the spin dash is what made open zone platforming fun, because now you can cheese a plethora of platforming challenges by spin dashing off a slope and flying hundreds of feet into the air with full control over where Sonic lands if you’re skilled enough.

Mario have a lot more levels than Sonic, but Sonic levels are infinitely repayable due to being far larger than Mario’s, with multiple pathways to reach the end. The same applies to the characters, (but just to let you know, Sonic Superstars actually has more playable characters than Super Mario Bros Wonder does. Mario has: 1. Mario 2. Peach 3. Daisy 4. Toad 5. Nabbit 6. Yoshi Meanwhile, Sonic Superstars has: 1. Sonic 2. Tails 3. Knuckles 4. Amy 5. Feels the Rabbit 6. Metal Sonic 7. Metal Tails 8. Metal Knuckles 9. Metal Amy 10. Custom character (yes, you can customize your very own character in Sonic Superstars). 11. (Possibly) Trip after beating the game, as it’s been implied from various hints. Also, unlike Mario Wonder who’s characters all play exactly the same, in Sonic Superstars all of the main characters have their own signature abilities such as Tails’ flight, Amy’s hammer, Knuckles’ ability to climb walls, and only the metal variants of the characters can shoot lazer beams; which means each playthrough is going to be substantially different from the last, unlike Mario where the game is meant to be played a few times. Once for main story, twice for post game content (like the bonus levels they’ve already shown off), and a third with friends. Sorry, but Sonic has Mario beat by a long shot when it comes to replay-ability. But that’s just the type of game I that prefer personally. Judging by your response, I presume you prefer the “rat in a maze” approach of Mario, which is fine of course. To each his own, I guess.

They’re not even the same gameplay wise. But Frontiers is definitely a worse game. At best you can wait for a price drop with this one.

Those trials on frontiers was a pain in the butt to me that I give up on the game trying to finish it I hope superstars doesn't disappoint me too making it too difficult to play

…Oh great. Another uneducated Sonic hater. First of all, you’ve got it all backwards. Sonic isn’t at all like Call of Duty, Forza, or Pokémon in the sense that every other game of his is *drastically* different from the previous one which has resulted in an extremely fractured yet devoted fanbase. Therefore, whenever Sega properly brings back a beloved proven formula, it’s a big deal to a lot of people because of how incredibly rare that is. So no, Sega doesn’t have a problem with playing it safe. If anything, the company has the exact opposite problem. Sonic Superstars is a dream come true for us longtime fans. After all, there hasn’t been a fully original classic Sonic game since the year 1994, and I’ll have you know that is an irrefutable fact by the way.

Sonic frontiers wasn’t perfect but also no game is perfect but as for a redemption game sonic team out did themselves.
