This is my run of Sonic 06 at Awesome Games Done Quick 2014 (more info about AGDQ at www.gamesdonequick.com/), which was labeled as Broken% on the schedule. Since I had an estimate of 40 minutes to work with, I decided to do a run of Sonic's story and Silver's story within the time frame given. Needless to say, I was able to complete that task with time to spare. Unfortunately there were audio issues, as the the microphone I was using didn't actually work. Thankfully after increasing the audio gain for the video, I can still be heard even with the game audio going. I haven't really watched much of your content but I have to say you really are a great GDQ runner! You focus on what you're saying, it's clear, concise, and you focus on the game at the same time! This is the type of stuff I wish most other runner did at these marathons.

I know you have a thing for speed-running Sonic games in general, but my god, are you a trooper for not only tolerating this game, figuring out how to beat it quickly, and actually beating it quickly. :-D

When speedrunning, this game is extremely consistent. Casually, you have to deal with a crap story and a bunch of glitches. But when speedrunning, you skip the story, and turn the game on its head to manipulate the glitches to make you go fast. So for speedrunning its very fun. I hated my first experiance with this game, but I constantly come back to it to replay stages and mess with glitches. It's the gift that keeps on giving.

I just finished watching the old game grumps play through. Funny enough, when you see it with most of the useless trite skipped and responsive controls, it actually looks playable, and dare I say, fun.

I have always enjoyed TAS runs... just to see a game get demolished can be very satisfying, especially if it's a very difficult game. However, it's even more satisfying seeing these people just crush these games, knowing that there's a real person behind the controller, no tools, just playing the game... and sometimes abusing massive glitches, but that happens. I have only recently become aware of this GDQ stuff, but I'm definitely going to check out more videos.

I would rather play Sonic 06 than E.T for the Atari 2600 or Superman 64, I can tell you that much. At least with Sonic 06, you can have fun breaking the game by glitching it out on purpose.

I thought the "100%" that shows up at the menu at the end meant he obtained everything? unless that only tracks your story progression, and not the collectables/whatever extra stuff.

Douce1337 It only tracks story progression, had I re-entered one of those stories I would have been placed at their final areas (before Aquatic Base for Sonic and before Kingdom Valley for Silver).
