Sonic The Hedgehog JAKKS Pacific Bendable Figures Wave 1 (Review & Unboxing)

The first products to be shown off when JAKKS Pacific was announced as the new master toy partner for Sonic The Hedgehog, the Sonic The Hedgehog Bendable Action Figures. They have been released at Target over the past weekend and people have been going crazy for them, looking for them left and right. Thankfully I was able to find the set, so what do I think? Well after what feels like an eternity, lets see if these Sonic Toys impress or disappoint.

WE NEED A ROUGE FIGURE RIGHT NOW. SERIOUSLY the only Rouge Figure existed is the one from the toy island line and it wasn't released in Europe. So? We NEED a second Rouge figure!!!

@@siamesewarrior7248 yes, a company called Toy Island aquired the Sonic X license before 16 years and they released some of the most desired sonic figures out there, my personal favourites are Rouge & Cream, but when Rouge was released she had a pretty limited released and Toy Island's figures were only released in the United States, so over the years most of themo got very valouble over times.

I was surprised about how much I like these bendable figures, not a huge fan of Tails because he's out of scale but has a great sculpt. The scaling on Knuckles may not be that bad so if I ever see Knuckles on shelves then I'll probably pick him up. Also if SEGA didn't treated Sonic Boom like it's their new flagship Sonic, TOMY would've probably made more Sonic figures outside of Sonic Boom.

I found a photo taken of a screen showcasing prototypes of Wave 2, including Metal Sonic and Eggman. I do not know if it was a leak or not. Edit: Apparently it was a photo taken at the SDCC panel.

Yeah eye paint on the muzzle is a common mistake on most sonic figure lines. I’m actually really excited for this line, the figures especially and this video assured it, I’m so excited for a wave 2 and beyond. Hope to find them later today. P.S. I agree with what you said there, Tails is usually so inaccurate and Knuckles is the most accurate, guess their designs can be hard or easy to pull off depending on design. I’m actually surprised on how accurate these figures are, the most in a long time.

I literally saw these out of nowhere in a toy store in the UK. I was actually legitimately stunned to see them in person, stunned because I never expected them to look quite as good as they did. They look like straight up 3D printed versions of their in-game counterparts. Seriously I'm dead impressed by these

I’m convinced the definitive best way to make an articulated Sonic the Hedgehog figure with out breaking the sculpt is like this. His limbs are so thin there’s no other convenient way to put joints in them.

A lot was not released from Tomy and it's kinda sad as they announced the new merch earlier in the year and now we may never get them like Eggman/Robotnik and Classic/Modern Amy.

The only good thing Tomy Sonic did was make that basically perfect Collector Edition 1991 Sonic figure. But the rest was pretty mediocre. I'm glad that Jakks Pacific are taking over, and these look pretty neat.

My only complaint about these figures is that you can’t change the hands which I feel limit the posing possibilities (with the exception for Knuckles) but I know that’s impossible to fix considering these are bendy figures. Between this and Nendroid Sonic, I’m definitely considering picking these up.

"Stuck in nastalga" theses bendable figures were realised ages ago I grew up with bendable Tails, Knuckles and Sonic bendable figures. I think the only difference is Sonic having one hand pointing.

I think you can fix Shadow’s neck. I had the same problem with my Sonic and I just pushed the head down til I heard a little pop. You could try that.

I wish we could get figure arts sonic figures like didn't get me wrong these aren't bad but I'm use to getting Godzilla like monsterarts figures and with me getting into sonic there aren't a lot of figures like the ones in use to low-key there was literally just one and its classic sonic and old and probably over priced
