Interesting to hear back to back the Sonus Fabers back to back with the Focals, each paired with the McIntosh. The brightness of the Focals tweeter balances out the darkness of the McIntosh and in my opinion sounds better than the warmer tweeter of the Sonus Fabers which are too much of a good thing when paired with the McIntosh.

Can’t add anything to these comments - they say all there is to say! Rarely have I heard a set up that is so impressive at any price! Until now I didn’t believe that investment of this kind of money could produce sound this amazing! And that you could come close to the best available for only modest investments of only a few thousand dollars - with so-called “giant killers.” Well this set up just put an end to that thinking - never to return!!! My only regret is that - I’ll never find it practical to invest in such a system. For many reasons - no matter how wealthy I might become.

Don’t get blown away by the price tag. It’s not difficult to set the sticker price as high as you like…and still some people think that this has a one-to-one influence on the quality. No…this is called product positioning/ marketing!

Vincenzo victor Ho visto questo esatto impianto ieri nel loro negozio di Lissone !! Che dire...avevo la bocca aperta! Suono tri-dimensionale, caldo ma dettagliato....perfetto. Costo totale oltre 200 mila € Personale super gentilissimo anche se incasinato con tanti clienti! *il Tempio del Suono* è una delle migliori realtà hi-fi della Lombardia se no Italia.

@@SpaghettiKillah Credo come hai detto, che sia il migliore per sale di ascolto, forse di prinzio, e quantità/qualità di elettroniche.Questo è un impianto che nella vita si può ascoltare 1/2 volte, forse e naturalmente ti lascia di stucco.Purtroppo per noi comuni mortali, con quelle cifre, bisogna accontentarsi.Comunque anche con cifre molto minori, non si arriverà a quella qualità, ma se ben assemblato, ad un ottimo Impianto si.Ciao e buona musica.

Dopo anni sono riuscito ad affiancare al mio Rega 3 2016 (testina Exact e P.S.U.) un ampli-integrato McIntosh tutto analogico e un paio di B&W 702 S2. i miei oltre 400 vinili anni '60 e '70 tutti originali, tranne una ventina a 180gr. che proprio non riesco a trovare, ringraziano. Ho già cambiato tre Exact che trovo si14,27a una MM coi fiocchi. Fabioo '961 29/04/2021 h. 14,27

I think MC901 sounds better than MC3000 MK II. McIntoish is a good match with Sonus Faber if you like warm sounds in my opinion.

First, thanks for letting us hear this system. When you listen to a system, the microphone needs to be in one place, preferably near the sweet spot in order to actually hear what the system can do. When you demo a system by predominately moving the camera/mic around for beauty shots up close to one tweeter then behind the speakers and then close to the amp, the sound is at best compromised. What that tells me is you are impressed with the look, the price, the bling of it all and the fact it is a device designed to reproduce music is at best secondary in your view. You kind of killed the demo and presented your priorities as a bling sommelier, not a sound sommelier. If you want to run the beauty shots to make the video more interesting, then place the recording device in the sweet spot and then run around to take video closeups to your heart's content. Then the viewers that are primarily interested in the sound can hear that and the ones that just want to enjoy the look can also get their fill of it. Just my feedback for what it is worth.

Thanks for your kind opinion, I will keep it in consideration. However, in my experience, walk around the speakers gives, in a KZfaq video, a better impression of a speaker actual sound. Vertical and horizontal path/dispersion is equally important for the sound produced. And it is so the cabinet/port sound produced from the back of the speaker. Positioning mics in front of the speakers give you a very limited sense of the sound in real life, because mics would capture the drivers direct emission only. I use static positioning only for comparison between 2 speakers. But I prefer a fairfield placement rather than a nearfield one. Interaction with a typical room environment is also a factor to consider. Furthermore, being a “video”, it is immensely more interesting if captured in motion. And separate the mics from the camera would make that “you are there” sensation to be lost. Unnatural, I guess. Just my opinion and experience. All the best

@@SoundSommelier Agree, video is more interesting with the various close up shots, but leave the recording device in the sweet spot while you go for the beauty shot. How many times do you have a critical listening session by walking up and putting your ear to the tweeter or stand close to the amps. The stereo illusion and image comes from sitting in front center. Room interaction is relative to the listening position. If you want to do your critical listening while you are walking around the house, get some wireless headphones. But that is not what this video is about. Again I conclude that what this video is about is looking at the gear and marveling at its magnificence as opposed to demonstrating the sound. You are welcome to do it anyway you choose and you know your audience. I just probably am not in that group. Thanks again however for giving us a listen. I was tired of hearing people talk about them but not play them.

@@user-od9iz9cv1w his videos are not made for simply listening but for seeing and feeling the experience. Who would watch a static audio video with pictures playing? Few people. This way it is much more immersive and you have the dimension of all points in the system while listening to the music, after all, you don't just hear it, you see it, it's something physical. If you just want to listen go to some Hi-Fi stores in the US or Europe, they have amazing stuff.

Vertical transducer axis is a compromise to free floor space. Theaters use horizontal arrays, because live performers are placed in horizontal rows on stages. This is all theory. I can't hear it.
