I use the Sony 200-600mm lens and their a6700 APS-C camera to photograph some migratory birds during spring migration at Enterprise South Nature Park in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The Sony gear did a great job helping me capture these pictures.
In this video, I mentioned that most of these birds were first of season for me but I realized that I have photographed a Prarie Warbler, Indigo Bunting, and Yellow Breasted Chat a few weeks earlier that I forgot about. LOL

Nice shots! I really liked the indigo bunting and tanager photos the best. I also liked the low perspective of the 🐢.

Some fantastic images and thanks for showing me a ton of new colorful birds in your neck of the woods. We hardly get any color out west. Just drab desert colored birds ha

Awesome photos! Taking photos like the turtle make me miss a simple flip up screen.
@PhilThach
@PhilThach 20 күн бұрын
Thank you! I agree, a tilt screen would have been easier but the full flippy screeen of the a6700 worked well too. It did take a couple of extra seconds to set it up though.

Thanks for another great video Phil. I am lucky enough to have a couple of local spots with Indigo Buntings. Love the variety of shots you got the Prairie Warbler shots were great. You made some great images of them. This year was my first year where I photographed one since it's my first year in the field and they aren't in my backyard. That a6700 and 200-600 is an amazing combo for both photos and video. I wish the EVF and screen were better like you mentioned. I never judge a photo in the field because the quality is so low same with my a7CR. Cheers.

Glad I found your channel here when searching for A6700 and Bird Photography. Although the A6700 doesn't have Bird Eye Focus, it looks like it does real well with birds. Thanks for making These videos

Thank you very much! But I do have one correction, the A6700 does have bird eye detect auto focus!

@@PhilThach Wow, digging into the web manual a little more, it DOES have bird eye detect. It wasn't obvious to me! I will stop comparing the A6700 with the A7iv now...have been looking for something with this feature. Thanks again.

Really enjoyed this one. Nice images. You made a great point about the low resolution screens on the 6700. For me, that's the only weakness of this camera. Would love to see this camera with a high res screen.

Thanks for another good video Phil. I've just bought the 200-600mm for wildlife photography. I've been using the 70-350G up till now and while a nice lens, it's short on reach for some shots.It will be good to have the big lens on my A6700 and the smaller zoom on my A6400. Been great to view your KZfaq back catalogue as I wait for delivery :)

I literally just got home from going out myself. Finally got some close up shots of a cedar waxwing. Definitely not as colorful as some of the birds you got. I’ve never seen half of those. Great video and awesome shots as usual. I’ll definitely be watching this a second time.

You always get some gorgeous photos. The second indigo bunting photo is also my favorite. I love tanagers. I have some photos of them from costa rica. They are just beautiful. The yellow breasted chat???? At the end is the one I like the best and who doesnt like a turtle? Haha. Nice work today. 👍📸

I like the a6700 a lot. I’ll be taking it to Vegas and Anaheim soon because I like the small size. I’ll use the sigma 18-50 2.8 and Sony 11mm 1.8 lenses on that trip.
