It's a very safe and affordable camera for those just wanting to take simple pics. Good for those just starting to learn photography. My recommendation is to learn the settings. It makes a big difference.

just opened the box after having received the camera as a gift 3 years ago. been using my cellphone for pictures all along so didn't bother using it until now as i have high end minerals I want to sell on eBay and figured this camera should do well for closeups that I need. I read a lot of negative reviews of the camera on the Sony website but I figure they are mostly from people that thought the camera should take high quality photos with only reading hardly any of the user manual. literally they obviously thought that it should be a point and shoot like a cell phone. but no it isn't!! I am studying the user manual to learn all the points of thus camera. your video points out the features that need to be learned in order to get 1st rate photos. well done!

Chris! I am so happy that you posted this video! I bought this camera last year and i took it on a trip with me. Some pictures were good, other don’t. I was very upset about it until I finally realized that the camera was not the problem, but the person shooting the pictures! I have no knowledge whatsoever and i am glad I purchased this camera. I am hoping to get better with it, then i will upgrade it for a Nikon. Thank you and please, post more videos!

This is an amazing for camera for photography. If you know how to work with the exposure and other features, then I'm sure you can pull some good video out of this aswell. a wide angle lens would definitely capture some good photos. I'm going to have to make a diy one for mine since you can't add lenses on it.

This is the video that made me get this camera along time ago. It was only $75 at the time in 2019. That zoom came in handy for shooting photos of my friends marine graduation outside so far away. It's not crazy fast autofocus but it's overall decent and great to learn photography if your new for cheap.

Hi thanks for the Review I just got this Camera use for $40.00 but it looks like new and you are so right this Camera is so easy to use I do Picture videos for KZfaq for my Channel you see I had a stroke some time back and sometimes I have a hard time saying what I want to talk about so I do picture video I have been using a little Kodak C613 6.2 Mega pixels to do my pictures I use to do Black & White back in the 80s with a 35mm Minolta X-370 with 4 lens but this Camera is so easy to use and also if want rechargeable batteries try Harbor Freight Thanks

You could use it for videos, but I recommend you getting a more expensive camera. Also it's perfectly fine to use it for taking pics for your blog.

making a product presentation on camera is harder than it looks, you did a good job! you could cover using raw and downloading and editing pictures in another video if you want.

Hi @IAndroidChris purchased this camera Monday of this week, I've been having some issues so I checked out a lot of videos regarding it here but nothing on what I had happening. 1. Set up was slightly problematic I kept getting the date and time set up over and over again. After finally being able to use the camera here's next issue. 2. The camera wont stay on, I only can view the pics I've took however I cant shoot new images or video. I'm using the batters than cane with the camera (Sony brabded) the little light to the right of the delete icon flickers red briefly then the screen goes black.

Using this camera as well, bought it in 2016, five years on and its still completely working in order. My advice when using the camera because of its sensitiveness to shaking, I suggest buy a camera stand so that you will have a stable platform.

So I just bought this camera im a bit confused it comes with special sony alkaliene batteries and a charging cable, it says online that it is chargable you have to have the camera off while charging... im very confused of why they would even make a digital camera not chargable? can anyone explain, also i bout mine for $200 which is more expensive than the canon I was about to purchase but they were out of stock so i opted for this thinking well it is twice as much so it has to be better... so my only concern is will it charge if i use the batteries that are included in the box?

Great video was wondering if this camera was worth it and with the lens and the price I'd have to say yes but my only negative about it is that is powered by AA bats but that said you can get the lithium version of them which are better then standard bats. There's a cannon point and shoot with similar specs but has 4 less megapixels so technically the Sony is better and $100 less but I think some people may forego this camera for the cannon just because it has a lithium ion battery and not having to buy bats is a plus. Does that meant if I want to get it for an indoor video I will need a ring light or good lightning? Also does it have a good microphone if doing a video or I need to get an extra microphone? Thanks will be waiting for your reply
