sony KDL-40EX500 6 red led blinks. I wish Sony would offer some trouble shooting guides for what different error blink codes mean. CCFL backlights don't go bad often.

My 32R300B has a green light but will not turn on. I know the panel is not dead and I have tried unplugging it and plugging it back in but the light goes straight from nothing to green. I've also tried a factory reset but there is no response from the t.v.

I had my 60 inch Bravia for 15 months and now the 6 blinking lights. Usually I try all of the mentioned resolutions and it may work. Today, nothing. I called Sony and was told that a technician must come out as it is the mother board. I went online to order an LG Oled, but remembered someone posted online to smack the back of the TV. I smacked the back on the left side hard and it came on. I don't know how long this will last but I will not purchase another Sony. Strange thing is, all of my TVs in the house are flat screen Sonys that are about 10 years old with no problems.

i fix the blinking green lit with the problem of diplay issue while u do nothing in the controller.just hold power button 3sec unplug the cord then plug after the sony logo display release the power button. ;)

@@akumav3160 no bro service engineer is saying that it is a backlight problem you have to change the board which cost is 6500 or u have to change the display which cost is 13k it's better to buy new tv

Hello I'm having issues with XBR-65X900E TV keeps going into a diagnostic mode with flashing green red grey rainbow for about 5 - 10 mins then works again. Any ideas on what board to buy to fix it? yes.....Did it work and if so is it still working? Mine died after 12 years, I did a reset, and “Voila,” it magically started to work. My grandson likes to turn it on and off, hitting all the buttons on the PlayStation, TV remote. I'm sure that's not good.LOL

Worst tv I’ve ever owned. It lasted only 2 years and totally went out. Red blinking lights mean that there is a software issue. It’s more expensive to repair than you think. These childish “solutions” don’t work. Buy something else.
