I'm still using Sony Xperia XZ Premium, I have this phone for over two years. It's working so well, I never have any problems with this device.

I've had my XZ Premium since the initial US release. At just over 2 years old it has been a genuinely solid device. Still running strong. I'm a tradesman and I am fairly rough on anything in my pockets. I've only carried Sony devices for the last 8 years and I've been very happy with them. Older generations of Xperias were very fragile, but this XZ Premium has been a tank. I've bent up more than one original Z and a few Z3s. In all fairness, my coworker picked up an XZ Premium after seeing mine and it was nothing but headaches for him though I think it was an isolated problem. The Xperia 1 finally looks like another Sony device that I could spring for.

But what is the real reason that companies are ditching the headphone jack? I'll say is pure cheap marketing to sell they're expensive Bluetooth headphones.

The reason their are so many nasty reviews from other "popular" you tubers is simple. It's not a Galaxy, Pixel or iPhone. Don't get me wrong, those phones are good, but this phone, the Xperia 1 is much better. I mean come on. 4K HDR OLED display, 21:9 wide gamut display and even though a "smaller" battery, Xperia has a better battery conservatism compared to its competitors. The fast/slow charge is a dream. I got a couple of friends who has the Galaxy S10+ and hates the battery life. I'm hearing 4-6 hours. Samsungs bloatware and lacks the battery conservatism . Wireless charging is a whatever for me. Both my XZ2 and iPhone 10 has that capability but I don't use it much. Actually it's not as good as a cable charge. The fingerprint reader is in a good location. When we pick up our phones, we naturally grip the sides anyway. Perfect location. I think with software updates it'll get better. Oh, by the way, Xperia's competitors has yet to make a 4K display. So, suck it Samsung, Apple and Google. Sony just nailed a grand slam and y'all got some catching up to do. I'm watching this video on my Xperia XZ2 and iPhones 7+ and 10. Love them all, but Xperia is my favorite of the phones i have. Great review!!!! Once again, unbiased, like some of these so called "popular" You Tubers who flat out have a bitch session and straight to the point. You and Flossy Carter are my favorites for these type of reviews!! Watching my Sony Xperia Z3. I've had it since 2014. The phone runs absolutely fine with no issues. Performance has not dropped since I got it. The two main issues I have is that the speakers have got quieter and the battery is maybe at 80% capacity of what it was when new.

I might be one of the oldest phones here but it's xperia z2 for 4.5 years and guess what sony is the best in batteries, screen, durability and overall performance , sony forever👏💪💪

I've had the Xperia 1 since United States launch. I was concerned about the battery life but so far it has exceeded my expectations. I think the 7nm chipset helps on power usage. As far as charging, this charger charges the phone pretty fast. I never used wireless charging anyway.

Using an Xperia X performance. I've had it since 2016 (same year it launched I believe) Still works well, though I've dropped it a least 5 or 6 times at work and it only suffered some dings to the body. Screen is still in tip top shape. I have the power button and finger print reader in one (side mounted) and I love it. It works well for me, as I'm right handed and that's naturally where my thumb is. Never upgraded to the newer sony devices because they abandoned the "look" they had for the roundness of the XZ devices. Trying to get a Xperia 1 now, but no carriers offer it where I am.

I'm watching on my Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium. I've had since it was launched new in the UK. 3/9/18 and its a brilliant phone! Shame Sony haven't Brough out anything as powerful in premium range as I would have had a new one by now!

I've been using the Xperia 1 now for 3 weeks and I have to say it's a gorgeous phone. Well built and with an Amazing display! 4K 21:9 movies look... can I say amazing again? I am coming from Windows Phone, which I've been using since 2012, and moving to android does allow me to mimic the Windows Live Tile UI that I love and am used to. I downloaded Launcher 10 and it works great. I don't agree about the wireless charging though. Windows Phone has had it pretty much from the beginning and my stand up charger from Tilt sits right in front of my desktop computer, which allows me to do just about anything I want except watch a movie (which I wouldn't want to do anyway since I'm sitting in front of my computer!) So yes, I DO miss wireless charging. But all in all I do love this phone! And people notice it with it's tall, narrow appearance.

@WhatGear, I'm using the European version of Samsung S9. I've had it for 7 months now and it performed and still performs very well both in everyday usage and in heavy games.

The qnovo tech is the biggest reason for me to get sony devices. My xa2u is still going strong and I'm a really heavy user the phone was on the charger twice a day (it has a really good battery life) Now my daughter uses it to watch some videos sometimes and it lasts for days. I'm using the xperia 10 plus at the moment since april if im correct. (bought it the moment it came out) And love the device although the battery life isn't as good as the xa2u i have to charge the device 3 times a day 2 times during and 1 in the night. I had samsung devices before (s6e and s7e) and both battery's where broken within 6 months of use to the point it can lose 25 % withing 10 min of youtube.

On Xperia XZ PREMIUM using it for 2 years and not a single problem. But still thinking should I upgrade to Xperia 1 or not.

XZ premium since November 29th of 2017 Aside from minor scratches on painted sides and battle scars on aluminum top and bottom. No issues at all. No changes on battery from day 1

i use the xperia xz and had it for 2 and a half years . the battery care mode really helps the battery in the long term as i can still have up to 20% left after a day of heavy usage

And i must say the battery was good for 3 years and that was without the battery care... So yeah 3330mAh, i don't mind at all as I've been getting about 36 hours out of it (30% when going to bed) 😊 Agreed with all your points... I too had watched almost every video review of the Xperia 1 before buying it and I had the exact same comments as you... Too bad it is not marketed well and not targeted to a wider market this year 🤦🏻‍♂️

Watching on my LG 34UC88-b. Awesome monitor, I've had it for over 3 years now. Makes 16:9 feel like something from the stone age. I don't think I can ever got back. Lol probably not the answer you were expecting. My phone is an Xperia XZ. I bought it at its release (came with some nice headphones which my brother sadly trashed within a year... sigh) and it's still going strong. I bought it exactly 3 years and 9 days ago (just checked lol) so it's almost the same age as my monitor. I honestly have no intention of upgrading it any time soon. Also I like how the Xperia 1 is bringing that ultrawide aspect ratio to the mobile space. Idk if it works as well as it does on monitors but it's cool to see it happen nonetheless.

Watching on the Sony Xperia 1, almost 3 years old and a few days ago the sim car reader seemed to have stopped working. Sim card works on my backup phone but the Sony Xperia is not detecting a Network. Past that I have never had an issue with the Xperia and I find it far superior even compaired to the new iPhone I have for a work phone.

Wireless charging also destroys the battery. The amount of heat given off just shows the amount of wasted energy there is. Gosh it's a battery destroyer. Overall I love this device though. Qnovos battery care is a seller for me. It gives me ease of mind

Watching on Sony XA1, I've had it since August 2017, but I have had many problems with its screen, it was completely not responsive the first time, then there were dark red patches on the sides..I have had it replaced 2 times by now - just mine, my family all have had different Sony phones, and the 2017 models seem to be the worst. I am buying a Samsung galaxy S10e. I hope to have a better experience with this brand.

Watching on my xz2 premium. Around 6 months of usage. Battery care, I love it. Will charge until 90 % and will give me the 100% when I wake up. I love the ps4 remote play. I watch 4k videos on youtube. The camera went on par with my wife iphone. So I guess xperia being the next gen must be better

I am watching From xperia xz1 and I had it from December 2018 Almost good phone. But sony is downgrading from Xperia z1 compact which I had 5 yeers ago. Z1 compact was the best I had ever used.

Watching on my Mate 20. The back glass is cracked lmao. But it has been very inpressive since I bought it. The camera is just exceptional especially in lowlight and it's still fast.

Watching using xperia xz premium had it for 3 years and still works the same as it always has. Almost perfect phone, only gripe is the selfie camera is rubbish in low light. It's main camera is amazing, the phone is quick, charges quick, battery life is brilliant and the screen resolution is amazing.

Watching on a OnePlus 7 Pro. I've had it for about a month. Absolutely no regrets. Waiting for the iBasso DC02 to be released so that I can listen to music on my headphones again 😂😂 With my previous OnePlus phones I've only ever upgraded when I've cracked the screen, they've never felt slow, and I've never noticed battery degradation.

Sony Xperia XZ premium, bought shortly after release. Watching with no back on it as it has a charge fault Sony won't repair and repair shops can't fix. Faults started 5 weeks after warranty expired and Sony not interested in fixing under warranty as an act of good faith for custom relations. Samsung here I come!

i have sony xperia xz premium and in love it. i had it for 4 years with no problems reallyyyy no problems. i drop it on the flor every day and it never broke . so yes i love this phone i am impressed. :D !!!!!!

i am watching this video on my xz1 who bought a year ago only for 240 euros from my country greece. before that i had an z5c who now belongs to my wife. z5c is 4 years old and is stands right now as was new from the first day,battery life and performance! i love z5c very much.

There are some serious issues with this phone: 1. Crappy fingerprint sensor that fails 9/10 times... 2. Camera is lacking 21:9 ratio although cheaper Xperia 10 has it! 3. 4K video stabilization in main app is a joke + it is missing some frames when panning 4. Vivid mode for screen was removed 5. One of the stamina modes was removed (now only 2 available) 6. Signal strength / reception is very poor 8. Some software bugs like notification icon still showing unread message / untaken call no matter you have read this... 9. Picture quality is bad, lacking details in good light conditions, overblown light sources in dark/night conditions. 10. Battery life is poor. Why comparing it with shitty iphones where those are known from worst battery life among all devices and you have to charge it twice a day? Also it is not Android. Compare it with the same price Android flagship devices. ALL 4000mAh+ batteries. Then software treatment and no communication is the worst. No any fixes to the above + no any communication, no changelogs. I am with this brand for so many years and by buying Xperia 1 I gave them the last chance. But due to above this will be my last sony device. For this price I cannot afford this treatment... Good bye sony. Lights down. Applause. The courtain.

Watching on my 2 year old XZ Premium, which is still perfect. Has a 4k screen and a combined power/fingerprint button which is on the side which is the correct place for it. It means you can use a case. Works with right thumb and left middle fingers effortlessly. Anyway, I would like an Xperia 1 but its not offered in Ireland on contract. I'm not spending the price of a used car on a phone. I'll have to wait a little while longer I suppose.

Watching on Sony Xperia z3, had it for around four years, maybe longer. Still works excellent and very fast for an old phone.

The reviews are so biased. If the product gets good over a certain level, it seems that "reviewers" are trying to find a flaw and blow it out of proportion. Not a fanboy but I know my facts; first waterproof 1080p phone is not an iPhone or a Samsung. Most red dot/EISA awards go to xperia phones. Wireless charging? Come on guys, it's still a gimmick. Nice to have but it doesn't charge fast enough and don't get me started on the energy loss. Headphone jack, thing of the past. Fingerprint reader - best position unless it's an under display one. Longevity, had my original Xperia Z for 4 years. Canged it for a z3. The price is high as other flagship phones so don't try to pick on that one too even with the absurdity of a 1000 USD phone is considered the new normal.

I need an advice guys please I want to upgrade my z5 and i don't know wich Sony to chose the xz2 and xz3 devices are really ugly they doesn't suit my taste (it's like they mixed an LG and an Huawei...meh) so that leave me 2 options the xz premium and the xz1 i really don't know which one to chose between them if anyone can give me some advices i'd be grateful 🙂
