Ko Dan Ja Sequenced Sparring Champions, PJ Steyer SBN & Neil Cohn SBN. Unbelievable demonstration of Soo Bahk Do including the interpretations of the Moo Yei Dobo Tong Gi and Moo Pahl Dan Khum breathing exercises.

I am SO glad to see 2012 NationalsFestival videos !!! Thanks for posting! I competed at this event. It was my first ever Nationals, and we came in from region 4 ! What an awesome experience !! So thankful and blessed to have taken part in such an amazing thing. Very nice to see videos, and share them with my kids and husband. They had to stay behind in Florida.

Watching these dancign martial arts is so annoying. They were originaly trained for genuine fighting and sparred properly. This soft strike, fake submissions and rollign around crap us so lame. Im not even talking about the style, i mean just can you actually strike each other? spar properly... all they do is train demonstrations that are essentially dance moves. Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan the martial art to learn if yo uwant to become a movie fight director.

Man I like Hyungs and theirs a lot of value in blocks and strikes but this kind of demo makes me upset, because the movements are so over exaggerated. This is a very unrealistic demonstration of Karate. This is what I hate about this martial art that I’ve been doing for 30 years. Now I understand these guys probably worked hard at choreographing such a Theatrical play but if I was ever attacked or in a scuffle I no this is nonsense. I guss it’s about what your looking for but if your looking for self defense this will get you hurt.
@barrettokarate Жыл бұрын
That one kick at 1:47 baffles me. I've seen MDK self-defense videos where they start off with a nice technique and end it with it. That's one technique unless you're in a Cynthia Rothrock movie I don't see it ever working.

I would have preferred a demonstration by a more nimble duo of Korean men. Seems sluggish and somewhat ordinary.
@ejektro11 жыл бұрын
No this is soo bahk do.. it once used to be Tang Soo Do but it became nothing but Tai Chi movements unpractical techniques that would never work in a real self defense situation and choreography's..
@zionismkills7 жыл бұрын
This is what you call a drill. It include strikes and armlocks. When you say "unpractical" instead of impractical, it shows you're not very intelligent.

so sad to read people comments who do not understand anything about martial arts but fight. Poor understanding of what brings you in a do-jang from 3 years old to your old age
