Soo Line 1003 fall trip through Wisconsin

2 жыл бұрынHey Everybody! My son and I go railfaning and we chase a local legend! Soo Line 1003! A restored Class L1 2-8-2 Mikado steam engine takes a journey through the Wisconsin country side in Fall of 2021. We only got a few stops in, but none the less it was great to see the Alco locomotive from 1913 get out and stretch its legs! Enjoy!

Great video thanks for sharing! How did you map out your chase and photo locations? If you didn't join the Trains Magazine photo charter (too expensive for me) how did you know when/where to find the locomotive? I had hoped to capture my own photos at a trackside crossing but didn't know when/where the locomotive would be running on 11/14. Would love to join forces next year if you plan to chase #1003 again!

Thanks! That is an active line for the Wisconsin Southern Railroad.
