I'll never forget one of the times going to the Slaughterhouse show we got the meet and greet and the guys are signing the shirts Joell was cool as fuck, Royce was cool, Joe was miserable and said he wanted it to be over. I asked him to follow me on Twitter or some shit joking he said no fuck you. Crook was unreal me and my bro are big fans of him and he talked to my brother on facetime and idc that shit really meant a lot to me and my brother. I'll always remember how different Joell and Crooks energy was and Joe having a narcissist episode and thinking this guy has a room fool of fans and he's unhappy dissing me and my boys because we paid extra to meet them.

Not crazy at all. The pedigree associated with both labels is dependent on a handful of artists who became mainstays of the culture. If Dre didn’t sign Em aftermath would be irrelevant. Death Row had a good run, but what artists actually made money there? Snoop cemented himself in history with doggystyle and his work on the chronic but had peanuts to his name lol.

@@graphitepoo Peanuts?, you must not remember the No Limit run or the beautiful, Drop it like it’s hot run. I mean crazy in a good way. lol At the time both labels were at odds. It’s just cool to see it play out in a positive way. Em definitely kept the lights on but Dre too made an epic come back with the Chronic 2000. Aftermath could’ve dropped Eve, which is a multi-platinum artist. So Dre was gon be Dre regardless but thank God he found Shady. A lot of us wouldn’t be here 50 cents i.e.-Zae/Mercedi$

This clip alone gave me good chills. Seeing my brothers talking it out without getting into their feelings resulting in showing mad love and respect. Once again, big up Big Man Bigga.. When he talks, all must listen. The way Yayo switched up when Bigga questioned his accountability for the type of music & the comment section getting juiced up over his emotive response said it all and left me slightly disheartened but more dismayed. Unfortunately I'm not rattled due to this thinking and behaviour being pervasive in our community. We as a people talk unity but prioritise entertainment/buffoonery first. I still believe and know we're better than most in all fields and need to tap into our variety of gifts with unification.

The problem is ,Ny went wrong adopting West Coast gang culture.I am of age to remember when we(The East Coast) had a certain respect that we don't have now.And the gang culture is the problem.NY was always looked as originators but lately they have become trend followers moreso.I I'm in that last generation of when it was official.Im from that menace to society era.But as soon as I left the movies,in my Tim's and Carhartt hoodie I jumped on the El train and put on Black moon in my walkman.I enjoyed and respected what the west was doing but I loved, and had pride in what we were doing over here .

Say word. Gang culture is promoted by white supremacy. Anybody with an IQ over 85 should know that. Hip Hop was the force that was used to save our youth from gang culture back in the 70s. The only reason that the west didn’t dissolve their gang culture was because they truly didn’t understand what the movement was about. LA gangs have always been manipulated by the police. It’s sad. With the strength of the gang population on the west, Hip Hop could have been the Revolution that the Black Panthers were screaming for since the 60s. The west coast could’ve saved black America. Could’ve save these kids. Smh

NEW YORK SHOULD NEVER TAKE ON THAT BLOODS AND CRIPS NONSESNSE THEY ARE FULL OF GARBAGE. THAT GANGSTER SHIT OS GARBAGE. THEY DONOR KNOW HOW TO BE FAMILY AND HOW TO MAKE MONEY WITH EACH OTHER AND TO KEEP THE BUSINESS GOING. THE WHOLE SITUATIONS THAT WAS GOING ON IM DEATH ROW SHOWS HOW TERRIBLE THEY ARE TRULY IS WHEB IT CIMES TI BUSINESS. THEY COMMUNITY IS GETTING PUSHED OUT BY MEXICANS. Coming from a group of black people that created a whole black community on the west coast. Just like how they allow the Koreans to come in to there neighborhood and the Koreans stole all the black business by copying the black business and dropping the prices and the black Americans join the Koreans stores. Now the vast majority of blacks from Los Angeles is being thrown out by mexicans.

Shout out to Crooked I. Much love to this brother. I’m from Brooklyn and there are tons of people hot right now about what’s happening to our rappers and entertainers when they go out there. It’s good to hear a positive voice but also we have to be mindful of where were going and what we have on. This ain’t back in the days where someone might have a nice chain on and a few rings. PNB pulled up with thousands of dollars worth of jewelry and a Maybach from what I’m hearing. Same thing would have probably happened to him in BK back in the days before the gun laws. A lot of bad stuff still happens in NY but no where close to what it was like in the early 90’s.

Where you see Joe bitter? He gave his side (whether you believe him or not) and these guys gave their side… Royce gave his side which aligns with Joes. Only thing I saw was being upset about how nobody seems to take accountability for their part… No matter who you believe, it seems like none of them want to say anything was their fault. There has to be fault with everyone if everyone is involved.

I left the East coast and moved to Cali at a young age. I'm not from NY but visited more than a two hands full. This was the late 80s and early 90s. My experience while in Cali at that time was surreal. Not being a banger I got love from everyone. But I stuck to the code. I didn't identify myself as a banger. I witnessed the riots of the Rodney King beating. The rise of Dre and Snoop and Pac. That was a different time. I left there and went back East during the rise of Biggies tenure. And the mid 90s in Kings county was lit. Never had problems visiting the city during that time. But times have flipped upside down. I wouldn't walk the streets in either place the why I did at that time. I'm sickened to live and witness what our people our culture has done with our arts. At a time when we are still fighting oppression. We are have turned on ourselves. I still have love for Cali. I miss the never ending season and all that came with it. Harbor City is definitely a must for the youth. I hope they listen and learn something.
