I worked for Dominos Pizza and delivered my entire pickup bed full of pies to a local college basketball camp. The guys attacked my truck and it was empty in a minute. The coach paid of course. It was a memorable day as three of those players I met went on to have NBA careers.

ivbe only spoken to someones managfer on call centers too, because the people that take your call are reading solutions off a list, they dont actually know how to help you.. if whatever is on their list dosnt owkr they say they will call you back, and never do. i ended up asking to speak to someones manager and then that person actually helped me, it was at EA games, and honestly the first person i was helping him.. i was on google searchging stuff up and telling hima bout it till i was like okayt let me speak to someone higher up, and then that person actually knew the stuff i was talking about.

I've certainly done the 'I need to speak to your manager'... after the first refusal (this was on an insurance claim), I asked for the number of the local police station since what they were doing was trying to make me commit fraud...even though 'that was their policy'. I was quickly passed off to a manager who had a 'holy shit, you're right!' moment when they realized claiming an ENTIRE order, when only one part was stolen was in fact...fraud. All I needed was a quote/receipt for a stolen laptop at it's current value, not with everything else that was purchased at the same time...

I work for a habitat for humanity restore(it's like a thrift store but only for new and used building materials, supplies and furniture but no clothes) here in Vancouver canada and the majority of the customers are fine but some of them are EASILY the most entitled people I've ever dealt with. I've had a few that have just left me with an absolutely fucking STUNNED look on my face at the sheer stupidity of what I've seen them do or heard them say. like this one lady who even after being told nicely by my boss and myself that she would need to be patient and wait till we had a chance to price the item she wanted to buy cuz we didn't have enough staff on hand at that time and after asking me what the price was she stood there in disbelief that we wouldn't just drop everything we were doing just to help her and said(loudly so everyone could hear how annoyed she was)WELL I'M NOT LEAVING TILL SOMEONE PRICES THIS FOR ME!!! in my head I was just like ummm ok go right ahead an do that but you're gonna look pretty stupid standing there for no reason. then recently this guy wandered into our receiving area even though there are signs everywhere saying STAFF ONLY and tried to walk off with a chainsaw which was hidden on the other end of the receiving area between a stool and a pallet full of cabinets where it was clearly not just sitting in the open for all to see and my coworker walked in and told him to put it back and leave and he preceeded to yell loudly that he had every right to be in there and couldn't understand what the problem was 🤣😂🤣😂

I worked at Dollar General for almost 10 years. Good place to shop, shittiest place to work. Corp. treats you like a thief, and about half the customers think you are a certified verbal punching bag. One time, had an older lady come back in, wanting to return a package of letters that you put on a poster board. Said that the package says that there are suppose to be 72 letters in it (3 for each letter) but she only counted 24. My boss took it to the office to look at it, while the lady is going on about how the product was made in China and that the Chinese can't count, just being completely racist. Boss comes back out and points to the package to show that it even says that you have to peel the letters from each other so there actually was 72 letters in the package. The lady shuts up and leaves.

Funny enough, when I was like 12 or 13 I told a hot Subway worker (who had to have been 19-25) to make me whatever she likes, thinking I was being smooth. With an annoyed look on her face she slowly looked down and silently made a sandwich, and after I paid and went to sit with my class I wanted to melt into the floor in embarrassment

I've asked to speak to a manager on more than one occasion, but I don't act like some crazy lunatic and yell/scream at them. I just explain what the issue is as calmly as I can (sometimes I do get a bit 'snarky') and work out a way to rectify it. I attribute my somewhat calm demeanor to my Dad, who would usually make an ass of himself in similar situations...quite embarrassing to endure whilst growing up.

Half a lifetime ago I worked at McDonald's for a total of one week. I ended up in physical therapy for about three months. I had two days off and was supposed to go in the following day, but I was still in extreme pain. I called to say I couldn't work there any more. The manager was irate and told me I wouldn't get another job that paid as much as they did ($3.60/hr). When I went in to collect my check, mgr wished me good luck (sarcastically). I told her I already had another job making $5/hr, and it was a desk job. Don't know if she believed me, but it was true.

I've asked to speak to the manager when I had an issue with something but I make a point to tell them from the start I don't want and won't accept anything free. I'm talking to them to resolve an issue or hoping they'll do something about a rude employee, not to get free stuff. I want them to know this is about the issue at hand, not just a ploy to pretend to have a concern to get stuff.

If don't ask at most US Subways they give you fake, "processed" cheese slices instead of provolone which can be expensive in comparison to the chemical slices. They reach for the cheap cr@p until you interrupt them. Hence the reason the chain is failing and closing stores.

I've worked as a cook at sonic which was a nightmare because you always had carhops giving people the wrong stuff and then blaming you when they complained, and there would be time where you were the only cook there for like 20+ orders and you have a 5 minute time limit per order or else you "failed" to serve the customer on time. Some meals *chicken dinner cough cough* took longer than that to prepare under normal circumstances. I've also worked retail for like 5 years and customers are the absolute worst. There is just no respect and they literally see you as a tool, which is terrible because that makes the retail employees see customers as a nuisance. It's a very toxic work environment tbh. I encourage people to learn a trade or go to college for something that you can actually get a job for, and do something that is respected. You'll definitely feel a lot less like killing yourself trust me.

I used to work at McDonald's when i was a teen and the amount of people that would try to get free food or would ask for a cup of water and then go fill it up with soda used to infuriate me!! Like i know McDonald's is worth billions but it's not fair to the people who paid. Also there would be people who would eat the whole sandwich, leave a bite and then come back and say "I asked for no onions on this" 😡😡😡. It's such a bullshit way to try and get something for free. One time I even saw a lady filling up those tiny things you're supposed to to put ketchup in with soda 🤦
