Thanks Jim. My Victorian party wall seems to be mostly original lime plaster that flakes away very easily, should that be removed? The sound created from tapping on it seems to vary around the wall. Perhaps it is coming away in places? I think there's also some patches of newer harder plaster, probably from touch-ups over time? The window wall seems to be plastered with something significantly harder. Feels more like solid concrete or something, takes a heavy blow to crack it. Again, the sound from tapping seems to vary around the wall, so perhaps there are patches where the plaster has come away from the wall a bit? Wondering if that wall also needs plaster removed? Hi @deaosatori216, You could remove all the blown and hollow plaster back to brickwork which saves space and you can check all your walls before applying the rubber. Or leave it all in place and go over the top with the rubber and put mechanical fixings through the rubber.
