Another Great video, the comment about the old timer bottle hunters leving the Art deco bottles behind is so true. I find myself taking bottles today that I left behind 25 years ago .

This was cool seeing both you and Matt digging bottles from an old dump site 😃 Congrats on finding those two very rare bottles!! The gin bottle is a beauty too, too bad that the neck is cracked but still an awesome find 👍 I love the bottle dig videos as much as the creek hunting ones ☺

👍NICE FINDS when I dig for bottles l take a bag of old socks and drop the bottles in a sock each and pack them up as I go. You tend to take more care one at a time I find🍺

When I was digging in a bottle dump dating back to the 1870’s I found two December 25 1923 Coca-Cola bottles almost side by side and the oldest bottle that I have found a Castoria from J.M. Fletcher from 1874. And this is a great video keep up the great work!

at 8:03 you dug that bottle with the kidney shape on it, Ive got one of those and have been wondering what it was, now I know ! kinda cool to see im digging a dump of similar date 1000 miles away, but I have been unable to find the earliest bottle and I think this one may be the coolest so far...thanks so much for all the info you give while digging !!! dig on man !

Cool finds guys I found an old railroad dump last year it had been dug all the way to the bottom except for 3 feet all the way around I found all kinda goodies

Some nice bottles out of the pit. I used a pitchfork or just a stick when I dug in bottle dumps 20 years ago. HH and be well

I've dug some Imperial Manges here in 'Iwilei. That was a total of ten Hutchs. It's still my best dig, and there is a few "2d bests ", walking distance of my home and Kaka'ako a year ago. Going Town side tomorrow to scout around. In more informal dumps, I think I'm competing with the homeless of 1893 or whatever.

Love those knock off cola bottles. In all the years of digging privies, dumps and creek walking in Ohio, KY, WV, TN, IN, I just found my first knock off Cola, My Coca from Lexington KY, common but oh so rare for me. My holy grail is still finding a Koca Nola bottle. Couple shards so far......

Oh man I haven't dug a hole that deep seats I was 30 years old thats 20 years ago done it by my self it took 2 weeks do dig it oh man I remember my back hurting for 2 weeks after words

This reminds me of when I was a kid. There was a old general store over a river in my town. I used to shoot half the bottles I found with my b. b. gun. I read that the store run from about 1850-1900. They used to throw their trash right in the river . I might need to make a road trip. What would be a good find from that era ?

Well I managed to pull three scull and crossbones poison bottles in a day. Put them on the window sill above the kitchen sink. My mom managed to know them off into the sink, leaving one unbroken. God bless my mom😁that was about 8 years ago

If the bottle with the paper label isn't of any $ value could you, for the sake of preserving the history of the bottle, put a light coat of resin on the bottle to preserve the label? Probably not but was just a thought I had.

What’s root glass and how do you stop it from Breaking your bottles?

Root Glass was basically a cheaper glass company that showed up in the late teens. Basically digging bottles that are root that are perfect is almost impossible. They hate pressure and temperature variations.

Are you in the habit of digging fifteen foot holes with a hand digger? You have to move a lot of dirt quickly to make this happen in a day. Nothing unprofessional happening here. Didn't even see any cave ins.

You dont want to use a small hand tool and have your head under the overhang. With 3 tons of dirt over our heads we want to keep distance......
