Foden has been brilliant for City and has a big future but he was very underwhelming in the qualifiers. Didn’t do much in the final third and kept giving sloppy balls backwards to the CBs that better teams will capitalise off. Grealish needs to play, theirs magic in his boots and his ball retention and ability to win fouls can be pivotal since we are dangerous from set-pieces.

Jack and gazza are very similar they are egnigmas. As a villa fan after Kane next name on the sheet. He is something.

But i think he's proved himself in epl. Perhaps southgate just thinks there is not enough room in a team with 2 defensive midfield players that he thinks are necessary. Until england got that late winner against poland Southgate was looking to get a shellacking from the press. The commentators were pleading for substitutions to be made prior to the girl. Southgate stood firm. And it worked out in the end for him. So perhaps its better to be lucky than be good.

Grealish doesn't lack discipline. Yes he will dribble when there isn't an obvious forward pass available. He don't do unnecesarry safe passes. I don't see nothing wrong with that.

Southgate is a boring man. Grealish is a bit of a maverick- I don't think he fits into Southgate's bouquet of nice flowers and its that simple. He'd have to alter his cosy little formation in order to fit Grealish in and boring, managers who used to be defenders are usually no nonsense. Especially back in the day.
