Thank you Kevin for breaking that down for me. I was HIGHLY confused on why Elijah was scared of Jezebel after he asked God that fire be brought from heaven to consume the offering to prove that our God is greater than the prophets of baal. I was like heckkkk naww we bold we don't fear no face.... But I understand now. I felt like my life was very similar to Elijah and needed him to stay strong because I was barely holding on...

My Main Takeaway: God has given us way more things in life that we can ENJOY than He gave us of things we are to DENY but I think we have that ratio backwards.

This was SO good as usual, but also one of the hardest episodes for me to listen to especially when it came to y’all talking about sacrificing your bodies before you were married… I gotta be honest that I kinda rolled my eyes a bit because of how long y’all didn’t have to wait and that more of us are. But it is what it is. When you’re 35, STILL single with no suitable options for marriage and asking God, “when Lord?” If EVER, “will I get to experience a certain kind of fruit because of my sacrifice?”… that hits a different note that a lot of people cannot identify with. Because presenting your body as a living sacrifice for Him is not always enjoyable. Anyways… I normally remember and do feel like the sacrifice is connected to joy because it brings me closer to the Lord, others, and I can focus on ministering to more people.
