IANAL, but it's pretty obvious to me that a threat is not illegal, or legally actionable, if the consequence offered -- 'if you do or don't do X, then I will do Y' -- is within the lawful authority of the one issuing the threat.

@anti-ethniccleansing465 I think his point was going to be that whatever significance someone attaches to the names 'grilled cheese', 'toasted cheese', or 'cheese melt', it's still two pieces of bread with cheese between, cooked on a hot griddle. In other words, that playing with words doesn't work a magic spell that changes a thing into something else.

This is the best sovereign citizen video I've seen so far. It's so good because the video is of high quality, the judge is very animated, and the sovereign citizen is exceedingly ignorant. I would have liked to have gotten a few clips of the sovereign citizen. That's the only shortcoming.

I have to give credit to the (nominal) defence attorney here. Despite the defendant not wanting him, and despite the Judge basically freeing him from being there before the exam even began, he still goes into bat and almost manages to rehabilitate one of his clients thousands of stupid mistatements regarding the law.

The judge was fantastic but I really want to highlight the defense lawyer. It would have been so easy to walk away once his client dismissed him but he stuck around and fought a battle he knew he had no chance of winning.

The mere action of showing up to court when told to, is admitting that another entity has jurisdiction over you. The “special appearance” thing is a way of appearing for the limited purpose of disputing jurisdiction. If done correctly, which sovcits do not. Win or lose, you do not engage further, full stop, otherwise you do cede jurisdictions But none of this matters here since the court has jurisdiction.

He was a total idiot, and I was glad once the judge found him in contempt. Judge answered his questions but in typical sovcit idiocy he just kept yapping his idiot mouth, quoting 6th ammendment, jurisdiction nonsense, and more. All this over a DUI case and to make it worse, the moron was driving during the zoom session! Also glad his court case got moved up - all because he wanted a jury trial. Hope he gets a bench warrant
