NEVER LIE TO THE JUDGE! PERIOD.
@destroyerinazuma96
@destroyerinazuma96 Жыл бұрын
Case and point: there was a lady in front of judge Simpson who had some responsibility in an accident where both drivers were under the influence. Lady was getting ready to accept a plea while she prepped to sue the other driver in civil court with some help from her insurance company. Judge Simpson had a detailed report that stated the lady had prescribed medication, alcohol, cocaine and something else in her system at the time of the accident. Yet lady only admitted to alcohol and medication. Judge asked "are you sure" and she doubled down. Judge sent her to jail as she was protesting she did not mean it and stuff. Lady was afraid that the insurance company of the other driver wouldn't compensate her in civil court if the record showed she had three drugs in her blood when the accident occurred. So she thought the best solution was to lie under oath even though a bit of logical thinking would have told her Judge Simpson already knew she had cocaine and other stuff.

Sure you can! Swapping nationalities is easy, doesn't mean they are magically accepted as a legal citizen in the country though. I'm surprised the sovcit didn't try to claim his illegal international license was legal just because he had it, as some try to do. Sovcits sure do love printing out their own stuff on the belief that their paperwork is legitimate because they swap legal synonyms !

The IDP (International Driver's Permit) isn't a driver's license. I've gotten a few in my day. It is a notarized translation of your legal DL in your home country. You still need the DL from your home country. When I went to Spain, I went down to AAA to get my IDL in Spanish so I could use my CA DL in Spain. The IDP is not a DL. I assume it works in the US, but you would need a valid DL from your home country, I assume one with which the US has a reciprocal agreement with the US. On it's own, without a valid DL, it is worthless. And you don't get to make up a fake country and make your own DL and PP.

An "International Driver's Permit"(IDP) is not a driver's license, it is a document that refers to a valid operator's license, for example a Russian DL might be in Cyrillic so the IDP is a translation into English for example, but a IDP must always reference a valid DL. How does he get car insurance without a valid driver's license? You cannot buy a car either without showing a driver's license. Not sure what other states do, but that is how it is in Pennsylvania.

I worked 3rd shift at a convenience store. If I was in her situation I'd sleep in my car somewhere where I could walk. Eat the food that they throw away. Get free drinks and ice teas. After a couple weeks you should have enough to pay your way to a restricted license and insurance. Then work to pay the rest, after finding somewhere to live. But she's driving around without a seatbelt and going to McDonald's. Getting straight on her license isn't a high enough priority.

If someone doesn't want their FREE lawyer then they should be enforced to provide their own. No going from free lawyer to free lawyer, you get one ant any more other than the free one you pay for them to represent you or defend yourself.

I seldom have much sympathy for defendants we see, but I wonder if driving bans should sometimes have exceptions for driving to work, court, pick up kids, etc, to aid those who really are trying to sort themselves out.

The problem there, is that people with no license don't/won't follow the laws. They aren't stopped just for no seatbelt, but for no stopping at a stop sign or going 60 in a 35. Also, they don't have insurance. If they are driving their kids to school and run a light and hit a school bus, what happens then? No driving means you can't drive for various reasons that put others at risk.

They have those, they’re called restricted licenses and they are available. You have to petition the SOS and have a hearing and go through the process. It cost money though and a lot of people who have suspended licenses are suspended because they didn’t/can’t pay the initial ticket that started the whole mess.

I am such a fan of Judge Middleton❤. His voice alone should tell the defendants that he is a resonable man of conscience , desiring only to assist them with their reality " reorientation " in story book fashion to the facts . Just Don't Lie to him 😳 . It can go sideways at any time ! You decide . He'll even let you go sit somewhere to " reponder " 😵‍💫...🫤 . your thoughts going forward in your case 🤐.. How thoughtful is that ?. I'd like to meet him someday . There's such a calm about him that I'm sure his family & freinds appreciate . 🕯️ Tbank you for sbaring his court with us .today .
