It does help a little bit but not as much as advertised.

I have the ccv delete from spe without the internal catch can and I don’t have as much oil coming out as you do so I’m glad I cheaped out I guess lol. I’m going to do your elevated idle mod soon thank you for your videos they are great! I have a 2011 f250 btw

@@JT2JZ I was gonna say run a fitting that goes in that hose to the exhaust. Drill hole in it have someone weld the fitting onto the exhaust and run your hose to the inside of the exhaust as you’re driving you’ll blow most of that out just an ideal
@THETRUTH-ld2mh3 ай бұрын
@@JT2JZ also make sure you’re not overfilling your oil when you change your oil run it about a quarter under because of you to put too much in there it’ll come out someone did it to mine one day when they changed the oil

Run your hose up and over the brake booster so the oil will flow back into the valve cover. I believe spe has directions for the kit they sell that states to run it the way i mentioned.

That’s a great idea. Thanks for sharing.

That is how mine is ran as well and not a lot of excess oil even without the internal catch can so yeah it is worth a shot rerouting the hose
@JT2JZ4 ай бұрын
@caseylee2555 sounds like the routing might be the most important part.

I have the SPE kit on my 18 Superduty and have zero leaks, just vapor. Mine is ran over booster also

Did you do a comparison with and without the internal catch can? Maybe it would be far worse. SPE does sell an external catch can now. I have the SPE CCV reroute with internal catch on my truck and no oil drips BUT its 2022, so I'm starting off in an ideal situation

I too dislike the drip from my ccv delete (dirty diesel), my solution is park on dirt or throw a piece of plywood under the truck when I park in my driveway haha

I get about 1 or two drops a week in my garage with SPE internal catch can on my '19. It isn't much but kind of annoying. I am thinking about also buying their new external catchcan to supplement and get those before they hit the ground.
@JT2JZ2 ай бұрын
It’s is annoying ehh!? Is your ccv routed over the brake booster?
@darin9822 ай бұрын
@@JT2JZ Yes it is, I just think over time the small oil filled mist eventually accumulates enough to create enough for a drop or two. Especially when its hot outside

We are working on a frame mounted catch can, currently I have it installed in the engine bay but I see you have a disaster prevention kit so maybe if you want you can try our product we don’t have any oil drips we can send you one if interested to try out

I would love to see your design. Send me a few pictures on Instagram @jt2jz

How is your frame mounted catch can progressing? I am planning upon the SPE system, but would like to double up with a catch can if possible.

@grymn01 we are going to be testing these new design catch cans on the channel very soon. Stay tuned!

Excessive idle hours is what causes it to build pressure

That is not a SPE CCV reroute kit. Theirs is designed differently. You can add a -12an external catch can that you can periodically drain. Google Moroso 85400. That or something similar. Make sure it has large vent to atmosphere filter.

I don’t have an internal catch can and I have zero oil leaks, I also routed my ccv over the booster. And I beat the hell out of my truck

Routing it over the booster must be the secret. Thanks for sharing

Definitely not SPE ccv reroute, mine doesn't leak a drop if oil.

That’s not a spe kit! I have one and I don’t get a drop of oil out of the hose!!

Is your kit routed up and over the brake booster? I think the routing is the only difference. They advertise it as working with any kit

@@JT2JZ yes mine is routed over the brake booster. On both my trucks with zero oil leaks. You smell it though at times.

you got something else wrong if you’re leaking that much oil out of your CCV

I would agree if the truck had excessive blow by. It doesn’t though. What else could be wrong?

@@JT2JZ Too much oil in the case could do that too.
