Hello Ms. Kim. I'm glad you're enjoying the channel! Right now, every free moment (outside of my full time job) is being used to build our first house (my wife and I are the contractors and builders/framers/plumbers/electricians, etc). We hope to have it complete enough to move in in a few more months. Once that happens, I'll be able to start back on more videos as time allows.

These are called shape notes and correspond with solfege syllables - do, re, mi, fa, sol, la, ti, do. Any shape can be read just the same as a conventional note shape. I'm not sure of tutorials right now. But feel free to read them as you would normal looking music notes. ( :

Hello M C. No, I did not delete the comment by Dr. Epic. I assume that they did for some reason? The rest of that comment was explaining that I felt pretty insulted by your comment, especially since you inferred that I'm in this for the money and/or personal glory. I went on to explain that I have given numerous churches and podcasts permission to use my recordings - for free. But I don't allow them to download and then re-upload my recordings. I provide them my original files instead. That way I can make sure the quality is retained. I've seen many individuals download and re-upload my content and the slides are usually very grainy and the audio is distorted. The main reason I don't allow individuals to use my content on their own personal channels is - I don't know them. I don't know what else they might decide to upload. I have seen channels that upload my videos (without permission) and then also have public playlists that are completely inappropriate. A church channel would not be doing that. I also explained that this channel is not a way for me to get rich. I do make enough to ensure I always have the hard drive space I need or that I can afford to replace a monitor or upgrade some other sort of gear. But I'm not making car payments or something like that. Money is *not* a factor in not allowing individuals to re-upload my material. I hope this explanation helps in understanding where I'm coming from with this. If you ever have any other questions, feel free to let me know!

It's disturbing to hear that your hymns have been placed alongside degenerate content, I can unfortunately imagine the type of videos you are referring to which do nothing to glorify God. Were I in your position, I would also take precautionary measures to preserve the dignity of my work. Since you offer the original recordings to churches and podcasts, why not offer them to individuals? You could give them out with the stipulation that they are not re-uploaded to personal accounts. When I download any content from KZfaq it's because I want it to be readily available for my enjoyment only, I'm sure that the majority of others do the same. It might also be beneficial to include some of what you've told me in your video descriptions, as part of my misunderstanding came from the terse statement regarding downloading and uploading (a friendly suggestion, not condemning you by any means). In my life I've come across deceivers and false Christians- the wolves in sheep's clothing that we've been warned of. There have been times when I have righteously judged people's fruits and other times when I have been found in error. I believe that this is a case of the latter; you are not what I initial thought you to be and I am relieved. Please accept my sincere apology for insulting you. Not just going to church occasionally or simply believing that God exists. "why not offer them to individuals?" I have done this on occasion. Usually for people that I know personally or folks that are really interested in learning at home. Or for those that don't have regular access to the internet that would benefit from a file instead of streaming. Unfortunately, I have been burned in a few different ways by people I've met through this channel and my trust with people I don't personally know has waned. It has been a rewarding but sometimes odd experience interacting with Christians across the earth. Through that experience, I've met some really wonderful people and also some questionable people. "When I download any content from KZfaq..." I'm glad you are using it only for your use, whatever the content might be. Just know that - it is illegal to do so, even though there are some browser extensions and programs that allow this. The copyright laws are in place to help in getting artists, actors, etc, compensated for their work. If the views through KZfaq decline, those artists, channels, and creator's income will decline. That decision is ultimately up to you. I will not judge you on this. I have planks in my own eye. I only wanted to make the reasoning for the law on that clear.
