+JB P Well it depends with people's opinion. I personally never seen any "call for hatred" in Dieudonné jokes, who is btw my favorite comedian, but I personnally don't think that someone trying to generate hatred against a community should be allow to do it. I wrote my last comment because I knew you were talking about Dieudonné, but you lied pretending that his arrest was about a "little jew joke". Because in France, we are absolutely allowed to say a little jew joke, you know it but it does not stop you from spreading bullshit on the internet. I know it because I'm french, but people who don't live here might believe your false facts.

+Bryan Lawler It's true that in the USA censorship is a big deal, a bit hypocrite at times, it would be cool if that would change after the primetime hours... I mean this is a night show, there's no need to censor some words, and it's the parent responsability if they allow their kids to see late night show, it shouldn't be ruled that hard by the FCC.

+JB P Sorry for my bad english please. But Dieudonné was arrested because he rented a theater with a false company and was kepting money from this company, I mean he cheated with the financial police and he was caughted ... It's simple don't you think ? And what you call a "little jew joke" was a complete stand-up against jews. He invited recently a negationnist the Jewish Genocide in his theater also ... So no, in France we stand up against that. I don't think that we have to take lessons about freedom of speech from U.S. I love your country, but please don't be arrogant with us, we already are with you x) And for your safety, I hope Donald Trump will not become your president ... Good luck with him ahaha

+kinorai I respectfully disagree. I am also French Canadian, and a professional translator, and I am absolutely in love with OUR accent. It's warm and colourful and we adapt to new realities far quicker than the French, because we have no fear of inventing new terms (best example: "courriel" for e-mail. The French simply frenchified an English term, and use "mél".) All languages on this planet are pretty great in their own way, although the sound of German kinda makes my blood curdle. Regionalisms are the yeast that keeps languages alive! Adapt and overcome! :)

Here in Québec, we're so used to hearing anglos trying to speak french that I understood 90% of what Colbert said. Even though he was obviously reading his lines phonetically from a teleprompter or cue cards, I get the feeling this skit must have been kinda hard to set up. So, as usual, bien joué monsieur Colbert!

That's the first time I've seen her comfortable on a talk show. She was on Graham Norton once and was on with a bunch of dudes with strong Irish accents and had no idea what was going on. It' was funny, but she was so lost.

But then I saw the video and I lost it at "qui a pété ici?". She clearly is a fucking beast of an actress for saying that with a straight face. You got me Colbert, I laughed, you're fine for this time.
