The true Grosse of the 21st century XD

Trans Grossë. One of my favorite bosses of Spear of Destiny not because of how he plays, but how he looks. I like Trans' design more than that of Hans and Gretel Grossë

That long purple hallway with just a cross, ammo box and a bunch of SS had to be a troll move by the level designer.

This level is fun. I like it. Secrets can be scarce but I do think it's well the reward to have around. It's nice to have all specific treasures in the museum which is always a good thing so alot of people would enjoy looking at them. Trans Grosse is such to fight as well so I did appreciate they give out different bosses in this game. Way to go BMD. Can't wait to see more here. 😄

This music sounds...familiar 😁🎶 6:34 wow, that's a lot of chicken dinners! Why am I more astonished about them instead of all the chalices, good question, maybe I'm hungry. 😄 9:01 I started writing "It belongs in a museum" and then you said it in the video! 😆 I'm also always surprised how tall the offices are, I'm used to them being a tad shorter. This does look really fun to play, keep up the good work BMD, can't wait till the next time. 🙂💛

~9:01, a bit like the other time... the layout, and the way the corridor ends abruptly into a rocky area, it sort of suggests me that these SS weren't actually guarding that cross, but rather were investigating and discussing possible excavations of a new archaeological site, evidenced by the _discovery_ of the cross. Nice video. Always liked this music track by the way, when you hear it you know that stuff's about to get real!

I like these stories you add to the levels. It makes them a bit more interesting and not just mazes on a grid.

TRANS: (alerted) Eimos what's ni cha! TRANS: (dying) This is chagros! The echoey voice audio certainly makes it hard to know what they are saying. I used to have to fun playing with words for fighting Neo-Geo characters because the voice lines always sounded like something else such as Terry Bogard's "Burnacle" (Burning knuckle) and Joe Higashi's "Whaken Nepal" (Hurricane Upper).

Always love a Boss fight and I'm glad that Sam is going to be OK. 😀 PS: So many secrets!!

Mr. Grosses' chainguns make unusual noise compared to the original version. It sounds like they are pitched or something like that. In essence good walkthough so far :)

Excellent, that's it for the first quarter of the game. Basically the sections are as follows: Floors 1-5 are the tunnels, Floors 6-10 are the dungeons, Floors 11-16 are the main Castle Nuremburg, Floors 17 and 18 are the ramparts and tower where the Spear of Destiny is located, Floors 19 and 20 are secret floors accessed from 4 and 12 respectively, and Floor 21 is a surprise.

That was a good battle with Trans there BigMacDavis, the next boss should be a little more like surprise by you. Don't reveal who the Boss is until we see him, that way it will be 40% cooler than 20% cooler.

One curious fact of this level's design is that the 4 wall textures were all released in SOD: the rock wall on most of it and the pink bricks + the brown and grey "whatever-is" in the secrets. Pure and genuine SOD level, and very cool to play too :)

This is less intimidating of a map than the previous one. 👀 PS. Glad to hear Sam is doing well 🙏 PPS. I'm going to start working on the video for an extended version of the song soon. It's about an extra 50 seconds and was inspired by the feedback on the song.

I was expecting a re-run of Secret Floor 1 without B. J. being killed by the last bullet.

these levels are really hard and challenging on im death incarnate, i have beaten wolf 3d and sod recently on this difficulty and it was a nightmare and just wait for the final levels :0

the name „trans grosse“ is kind of funny because „trans“ in german can mean „transgender“

trans' armor is a lil similar to doomguy's, except without the stomach area and the shoulder spikes

Wow, and here I thought Trans Grosse was a father to Grettel and Hans. Cool.

First off, I'm very sorry for the misfortune that happened the other day. As of the moment I write this comment, I'm unaware of what happened after that day, so I can only say words of emotional strength to you. Secondly, back when I played this game, Trans Grosse was very frightening to me. You see, while he fights almost identically to Hans and Gretel, in their episodes you always fought them in the last floor so you would be ready for the showdown. But seeing a Wolfenstein boss so early (Floor 5, WTF??!!) was a traumatic shock. I probably should have seen it coming due to the music, as it's the same music for the bosses from Eps. 3 and 6, but I was only 9 years old so I didn't connect the dots. Luckily, when I reached Floor 10 and heard Ultimate Challenge, I knew what was ahead (and then again, Barnacle is not a hitscan boss, so I had an easier time against him, haha)

Dang when I played this floor many years ago, I would run out and gun down the SS behind the starting area, and I would die over and over lol, but luckily your walkthrough will put an end to my bad habit of doing that. 🤣🤣🤣 I'm assuming that first secret is in case you're doing this from a pistol start, which is nice to have, but dang low on ammo even with the ammo crate. 3:52 that looks so similar to E1M9 of Wolfenstein 3D, where you imagine the room you're in as the start of the floor, the next room being similar but smaller than the second room in E1M9 of Wolfenstein 3D, and then the next room has the boss in it, except instead of the boss being right behind the door when you open it like in E1M9 of Wolfenstein 3D, you get some room to go find Trans Grosse and kill him, so yeah, I guess you can think of it like this. Yeah grabbing all those chalices will give you an extra life, but in this case not so since 9 lives is the max you can get, and I find this to be a cool feature as it feels like an arcade game where you are allowed a few deaths before you either beat the game or get a game over and have to insert another quarter to try again, or in this case you get to start the game over for free, imagine how much money we would have if we still played video games like that, my god so many gamers would go broke. 🤣🤣🤣 That cross the SS were guarding, it reminds me of E4M9 of Wolfenstein 3D where 20 Officers and either 6 or 7 SS Officers were guarding one cross, except in this case it's like 8 SS Officers with no Officers. 100% of everything as always. Excellent job BMD. Keep up the fantastic work BMD! 15,000 points bonus!

Great level. It puts me in mind of the 'DOOM' level that has 29 secrets.

Something I thought about. If spear of destiny is a prequel then how in the hell are the mutants a thing? Story wise you first encounter them because of dr schabbs
