I like the berries. They are very aromatic and oily.

Parts of the trail I walk on has a canopy of Spicebush . On a hot summer day you can smell the aroma coming from the leaves as you walk underneath them. Reminds me a lot of Sassafras

That's pretty neat! They do smell a bit similar, sassafras is just more fruity

This video showed up as a recommendation and I was thinking about succession planning a replacement for non-native forsythia with spicebush (I'm in the range for spicebush swallowtail). Such a great and informative video, I wish you success and visibility! Subscribed!

Thank you so much for your kind comment :) Spicebush will make a much better addition than that naughty forsythia haha. Hopefully you get lots of swallowtail visits!
