A very solid day of speckled trout fishing. Far more fish were caught than I included in the video. The DOA deadly combo (popping cork and DOA shrimp) did all the work on this particular trip. Gotta love good fall weather and big speckled trout! I will be trying to focus on more speckled trout underwater footage this fall but ass I said in the video it is really difficult to get good shots with our stained water here in North Carolina. The ICW (intracoastal waterway) is my big hope for getting a some good footage.

@@FishingwithBrewski I don't do much saltwater yet but I've talked to enough people to know they can have a bit of a stigma. But you can't argue with the results.

Only 1-3ft here in the video. Leader varies a little but int hsi video around 14-16 inches.

Where were you in this? I just left a week long fishing trip in Atlantic beach area and couldn’t get on any speckled. Caught a 4.5 lb grey trout and a bunch of other off shore fish, but couldn’t get on the speckled.

That's a nice grey. I have never caught one that big. There are definitely trout in the area man. Was there two weeks ago and we didn't kill it but we caught some decent trout.

Nice Video, One question- is your go pro on you forehead or hat?

It's on my hat. I used to use the strap for forehead but I really prefer to have the hat on to keep the sun off

@@FishingwithBrewski I have got to use mine more in the yak...I have got the head band and several hat mounts i made. but I normally use a chest mount which does fine in my canoes as you sit higher in the canoes but in the yaks the view isnt as good sitting lower.

@@MackinNC1 yea I would miss so much stuff if I didn't have it on my hat. I've just been clipping it on and definitely need a more permanent solution as I've already almost lost the gopro on more than one occasion.

@@FishingwithBrewski Dude! Nice videos! Where in NC do you fish out of? Not looking specifics, but general area, and what kayak do you use? Recently retired and want to get into this. My only experience with kayak fishing is local lakes around the Raleigh area.
