What are the battery replacement costs? Wonder if I could buy them for my Air 3. Also, whats the minimum battery percentage you recommend going to? I usually recharge @ 10-15%

How is it a winner? It is a dji. It’s slightly cheaper is all it’s got. It’s not a clone. It is a dji without the name. The app even reports to dji servers!

It, by definition, isn't the real deal. Or a winner. It's an outdated software air 3. Also, no dji support. I don't even know if you can buy more batteries for it yet.

@@MickeyFKNMouse When you have flown as many non DJI drones as I have over the past 7 years it is a real winner. Jack had an excellent analysis in this video about the company and drone itself. It's refreshing to have a drone that does everything like it should right out of the box and not have the DJI name in it. The important take away is that we have another player in the drone market that is but is not a DJI. And a Mini drone coming out shortly with a great price point. I'm looking at this in a positive light but it looks like others are not.

@@mattalford3932 How many non DJI drones have you flown ? It does everything it should out of the box. Can't say that for the non DJI drones that I have flown. Software will get updated. And, not sure if you caught this in the video, Jack mentioned that accessories will be available on the web site soon. And the Specta Mini is coming out and a great price point. Try looking at this in a positive light. People have been asking for a drone with DJI like quality for years that is not a DJI - here it is.

Great reviews!!! Geofencing is confusing. Same with pre-login, if it will take off without a login. Can you take off in areas where there is absolutely no cellular or Wifi coverage, no way to log in? Does it check or not check for GeoFencing? If it does, and the pilot is within an Geofence area, can it “unlock” the geofence restriction, or is the geofence just a message? Have you called/written them with permission and gone thru acutal process of Geo-unlocking? Is the elevation limit a warning message or does it stop at the maximum legal take off height ?

You do not need wifi. Geofencing uses gps. No currently you can not unlock. TBD

Do you have to register/activate the Specta Air with DJI like one does with other licensed DJI products? For example the Caddx Vista and Runcam Link still require activation with DJI.

Is it really just as good with the 04 as the DJI Jack? We all buy drones for the great reception, and best battery life. Well, I do. I would like to be sure it's just as great, and not just another look alike. We all want the best of the best drones, but to not break the bank either. That's why I'm thinking about getting one of these, but still not 100% sure if it's going to be a good idea being that it's so new. Thanks for sharing Jack and thanks for all the other videos you've done with this company and drone. See you guys in the next video, and blue skies my friend.

For myself i was hoping to see compatibility with the goggles 2. That would be the sell point for me. Note, that i already own the avata and several other FPV drones.

I don't think it does. It's literally an air 3, but with outdated software. It's running the Dji fly app. It connects to DJI servers. Some of the software still says dji, lol. I'd just buy the air 3. It's not much more, and has support.

It's called hedging the bet. I have already spoken to local law enforcement here in Florida and Cogito is not on their ban list. DJI is here in Florida.

Its just the air 3 with outdated software. Some of that software still says DJI if you dig far enough into it. And its the same price as the air 3 when its on sale. It was just on sale for like 1099 with the fly more bundle.

I am enjoying the Specta Air, but the horizon is not straight, I am not getting vision assist, batteries not available, and non compatibly with the DJI Goggle 3 and controller 3. , like the DJI Air 3. Also it is getting close to the 30 day purchase window from Amazon. So if things don't change soon , I will be forced to return it. Help is appreciated. Thank you. Get Outlook for Android

@@HalfChrome They sent info on how to transfer money to a Construction bank in Hong Kong , but my bank said it was 65 dollars to transfer. So the battery price just jumped and the gap between the Air 3 just narrowed. Plus not sure if vision assist will be forthcoming. Not trying to be impatient, but by April 27th the drone is mine. Good or bad.

I think this is DJI testing the waters and potentially having something ready if this ban takes effect at some point. I just ordered one myself there was a deal on Amazon for $949

@GabeTC99 idk why ppl keep saying or thinking dji drones is gonna get ban in the US. It is only ban for federal use. Such as firefights or cops or military use. For civilians, you are allow to use dji drones. It is gonna gonna get ban. Is the gov gonna go around collecting everyone's dji drones? It's like complaining about banning guns in US. It's impossible.
