Has to be one of the best Hornets displays I'v seen! whats you'r thoughts ?
Ilmavoimien F/A-18 Hornet-soolo palkittiin kahdella palkinnolla Royal International Air Tattoo -lentonäytöksessä Isossa-Britanniassa heinäkuussa 2019. Kapteeni Arto Uksosken lentämälle soololle annettiin lentonäytöksen parhaan yksittäisen esityslennon (Best Individual Flying Display) Sir Douglas Bader Trophy -palkinto. Capt Arto Ukskoski's award-winning F/A-18 Solo Display at RIAT in 2019
The Finnish Air Force F/A-18 Solo Display flown by Captain Arto Ukskoski was awarded with the Sir Douglas Bader Trophy for best individual flying display at the Royal International Air Tattoo in July 2019. This was the second year in a row, as Captain Lauri Mäkinen received the same trophy in 2018. In addition, Captain Ukskoski was awarded with the As The Crow Flies Trophy for the best overall flying demonstration as judged by the Friends of the Royal International Air Tattoo.

Wow! That pilot has some skill! I had no idea the hornet had that kind of maneuverability!! With skills like that who needs thrust vectoring!

Terrific high angle of attack flying here. The Hornet doesn't have thrust vectoring nozzles, but in the hands of a skillful pilot it almost looks like it does. This pilot really knows his aircraft, the way an accomplished competitive aerobatic pilot would. I suspect he is flying closer to the edge of the operating envelope than they do at airshows here in the United States.

Captain Arto Uskowski is the pilot... And he's the best I've EVER seen. He flies this F18 like it's an F22. I've never seen anything like it.

I didn’t even know the Hornet could pull off maneuvers like that he had this plane looking like a F-35 or F-22 Wow

that was the best display I've ever witnessed, I was at RIAT in 2019 and I loved everything about this display: the timing, manoeuvres, use of throttle control etc. Loved it from start to FINNISH? eh?

In the hands of a skilled pilot, F-18 without thrust vector still can do Cobra moves. Hats off.

You are correct! It IS the Best F-18 demo EVER! This guy makes maneuvers I did not know the F-18 was capable of! You would think he had thrust vectoring! AMAZING PERFORMANCE!

My family has a summer cabin in the area where these guys train. Its awesome hearing these planes and seeing them practise dog fighting over the lakes
