Wow. The fit and finish from Rockstead on the HIGO II is probably the best I’ve seen. Beautiful, beautiful knife. Good thing it’s a 66+ RHC, becuase how the heck do you sharpen it? 😅

Fine analysis. My Higo II (black DLC coating, highly polished blade (w/dlc coated steel clip). I am as excited as you are and will not add to you comments, except to say that it took 15 years to appreciate the quality of this aesthetically/functionally excellent knife. While I didn't have to sacrifice to afford a Rockstead, it is worthwhile at this price point. This iteration of the Higo II is an improvement- the much maligned "cheap clip " has a slick black coating that blends into its highly polished Ti handle.

The little indent in the blade is where the diamond pressed into the blade from machine that does the Rockwell testing.

7:44 every rockstead knife gets hardness tested and bears the hardness dimple from testing.

Every Rockstead is AMAZING. People who have never handled one just can't understand. You'll never justify the price until you do. Comparing it to a Hinderer is like comparing a BMW 325i to a BENTLEY. That mirrored & textured black titanium is GORGEOUS too man. I'm super jealous.

Wow that knife is incredible! Beautiful mirror polish! Youve been showin some really expensive knives lately! Also that tiny dent or dimple in the blade near the front of the handle scales is from where they tested the rockwell hardness. Im pretty sure every rockstead has that because they are all tested for hardness. Great vid👍

@@EDGY12345 it’s a trade off right? These washers feel brilliant, could mistake it for bearings, and washers last longer and are more reliable.

@@EDGY12345 Bearings are an inexpensive shortcut to good action. Sure some high end customs also use bearings but nice fat PB washers are way more reliable and durable. I would never buy a knife that cost more than 500-600 that didnt run PB washers.

At 1:43 you doxxed yourself... I don't know if you care or not, but most folks on YT usually delete any personal information like mailing addresses... you never know. as for the knife. It's definitely shiny, and expensive looking, but I wouldn't think too many people would appreciate the build. seems to be a safe queen, as opposed to a daily user. think how many AD 20.5's you could get..lol

The Demko Import I'm not too impressed by, I'd care more if they had a US manufacturing strategy. The Rocksteady knives, I love because of their attention to detail that Japanese put into everything they do. Americans used to do that. We sold them a lot of our best technology, We sacrificed quantity for quality, Anything made by China can get lost. I don't care how good it is,

Sad noy on bearings ! I have both washers and bearings ,bearings are much faster than washers! I have never worn out bearings! I would never pay that kind of money for a knife that rotates on washers! Good to know that great knife is on washers! Just a note ,you can't wear out ceramic bearings!
