ZDP-189 will rust if wet and careless. However, I bought a Spyderco years ago with this metal (I wanted to try it) and no problems whatsoever. With that positive experience, I went ahead and bought my Rockstead Higo… with the same results. So far the knife is perfect. Just (as any non-stainless) don’t keep it wet several days, not even overnight. About the mechanism: I enjoy the smoothness and control from factory. Perfect like a watch, quite unique. Far superior than my Sebenza 31 in S45VN. So, if you want something “flippy” which offers no resistance whatsoever you’ll need to modify something, but try it first, the precision and control from factory are a delight.

The handle is not wood but CF, on the blade after Higo and the Chinese simbols you have the Roman numeral II witch is 2 thus Higo 2 and if you don't want to scratch any blade during disassembling just mask it with good quality masking tape it will protect it and won't leave markings or glue.

One thing to note: the pivot bushing is only supposed to go in one way. If you look at the thru hole on the bushing, you'll see that only one side has a chamfer around the hole. You want the screw to go into this side. Makes a big difference. I didn't realize this at first, and it was boggling my mind

I have a Rockstead Higo X which is basically the same knife as this one except it has stainless steel handles with ironwood and no pocket clip. I too am a KPL man and lubed up mine with KPL Heavy like Neeves Knives did and found it to be superior to the regular KPL for this knife. Knife flicks out nice and smooth but isn’t a drop shut knife since it’s not running on bearings.

I really like that blue better than my silver to gold ano on my Higo 2. I would trade someone my silver to gold ano Higo 2 cf for a blue one if someone would rather have my color. I mean the S to g ano is really nice, I just always wanted the blue one but at the time all they had was the S to g so I jumped on it. Mine is pristine in box.

Its a higo 2 and im pretty sure the scales are carbon fiber.as far as I know all of the ones with black handles scales are carbon.

Another entertaining video. I always pay particular attention to put my CRK washers back the same way each time so that the scratches I'm wearing in match. Probably a bit anal but I feel like it makes sense to mesh everything together nicely.

This is one of those knives that I feel like disassembly is a bad idea for. Like with a Koenig or a Holt. Probably just better off to send it in for a spa treatment than me risking fuckin somethin up 🤣
