@Patrick Whelpley I love that scene! I worked in a little theater company once and showed a good friend this movie. Luckily, she had the same taste in movies as me and adored it as much as I did, and "Swinging on a Star" became something we just naturally started singing whenever we were working on a project together. And "different" is an excellent way to describe it. I categorize this movie with The 'Burbs - they're both strange little movies that, if you find someone else who loves it too, it's often a great early sign of compatibility.

Dude, Speed is an R-rated my mom didn't mind me watching at 6 years old and I've watched it so many times I know it by heart. Had it on VHS, got it on DVD with deleted scenes and I will ALWAYS love it. What makes it simple is it's 3 Act structure. Act 1 = Elevator, Act 2 = Bus and Act 3 = Train. This movie's structure is also the method in which my story I'm writing will be written. Each of my 3 acts will have 3 acts to keep the growth and development going. It's superhero stories plus 80s-90s action movies plus sci-fantasy all rolled into one. The story is called Blue Shogun, be on the look-out for it.

Jeremy you need to watch Train to Busan. It has subtitles but it's a bad ass zombie movie.

This has been my fave movie since the 1st time I saw it in the theater. I loved it so much I bought it on VHS and then on DVD. I haven't gotten it on Blu-ray tho since I'm holding out to get it as a download... Btw Jeremy - I'm liking the hair! You can tell how long we've been shut in by Jeremy's hair growth journey :)

I’d love it if Jeremy or another reviewer tackled one of the BIONICLE movies, either as an outsider or someone who knows about the lore. Great review, I’ve actually never seen the beginning of Speed. I miss Dennis Hopper

To quote Jeff Daniel’s character Harry from the movie. “ I’m going to go home...have some sex.” Lol.

metalgamer 817 Very much so. We’re in that Siege of Mandalore storyline that connects into Episode 3 and referenced by The Mandalorian. And you can feel the clock ticking down to Order 66

Ribotto Studios You can tell Maul is legit terrified about what Sidious is about to do. He’s ironically the only one trying to stop what’s about to happen, albeit for selfish reasons

"Die Hard on a bus" is how this was reviewed at the time, I think. Also, Cameron Fry had to take the bus after he ruined his dad's car. Also, Jeff Daniels played two characters named "Harry" in the same year: Speed & Dumb & Dumber.
@iaincowell97474 жыл бұрын
I read somewhere that they offered the role to Stephen Baldwin & the "Die Hard on a bus" thing was the reason he turned it down. Actually in the earlier version of the script Jack Traven, was a lot more like the John McClane. Also heard that Ellen DeGeneres was considered in mind for the part Sandra Bullock played (early on before a script rewrite that had her a more comedic character).

I watched this movie so many times as a kid lol, that's why I watch every keanu reeves movies at the theaters. The dude impacted my childhood as a role model.

Speed is such an underrated movie. Saw it as a kid when it came out on VHS (I remember my friend's parents went to see it in the theater, while us kids went to a different screen to watch The Mask, I believe) FUN FACT: When I saw The Mask in theaters, the scene where Stanley Ipkiss is in jail telling his dog to find a new home, I cried. I was a child, lol.

Speed was not underrated. It’s one of the 90’s movies that set the bar for many and plus it was a box office smash.

I remember watching this when I was young on laser disc. Still to this day I have moments watching the film when you needed to switch the disc over on the opposite side to watch the rest of the film back then but watching now I’m like wait I needed to switch sides. Speed is awesome and my god the soundtrack for this film makes this movie so much better. There are moments I’m driving on the freeway humming the main theme to myself switching lanes and just getting by. Stay safe out there folks. Jeremy you rock brother

There is at least one out of three 90s movies that I would love to see you do a review on. Seven: A "modern" noir detective movie with a great cast. Good Will Hunting: Damon and Williams gave us chills The Little Giants: A kind hearted movie about underdog kids that can overcome, and also no one makes movies like that anymore.
